Abstract: According to one embodiment, a transmitting method transmits a start request for an authentication and key exchange from at least one of receivers to the transmitter, performs an authentication and key exchange for at least one of a first key common to the receivers and a second key peculiar to the at least one of the receivers, and encrypts the content by using a key shared by the transmitter and the at least one of the receivers to transmit the encrypted content to the at least one of the receivers.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, an electronic device includes, a search condition storage configured to store search conditions presented by a first device equipped with a recording function, a search module configured to search a content on the basis of the search conditions stored in the search condition storage, a reception module configured to receive schedule information on schedule recording set from the second device, and list storage configured to store a content list based on the search result by the search module and the schedule information and the restrictive conditions from the second device such that the content list can be acquired as a schedule list to be used by the second device for the automatic recording.
