摘要： An automatic machine for inspecting electric capacitors is disclosed. The machine includes a rotating turret having a number of capacitor supports which carry the capacitors through a series of automatic test stations. The stations automatically determine a number of characteristics of one or more sections of the capacitors such as voltage retention, terminal to cover insulation value and capacity. The machine marks and rejects capacitors which do not meet preset voltage retention, insulation, and capacity values and also separates acceptable capacitors into a number of separate differently coded groups according to their particular capacitance value range.

摘要： An improved automatic fluxing system is disclosed for applying flux to articles on a production line basis. The system includes an automatic spray gun with a movable mounting for directing the flux onto articles being presented to the spray gun by a conveyor. The system includes automatic nozzle controls and a flux supply system for the nozzle, particularly adapted for handling corrosive, abrasive and highly viscous fluxes. The flux supply system includes a special pump for continuously circulating flux in the reservoir in addition to continuously supply flux to the nozzle. The circulating reservoir eliminates the need for flux agitators and also permits the flux to be heated and maintained at a uniform pre-set temperature making the flux supply independent of pump induced temperature variations and of temperature related viscosity changes.

摘要： An improved machine is described for automatically winding scrolls of interwound backing paper and sensitized film and for transferring the wound scrolls to a film cartridge loading or other machine. The machine mounts rolls of perforated sensitized film and backing paper which are fed through stationary converging tracks to a common track along which they pass in abutting relationship to a slotted scroll winding arbor. Automatic controls count the film and paper perforations to check the position and lengths of strips cut from the rolls. The output of the machine is increased by utilizing the scroll winding movement of the arbor for one scroll to simultaneously advance the paper strip for the next scroll.
