    Abstract: A method for positioning elevator modules in a building, comprising: providing a plurality of prefabricated elevator modules to be installed in a shaft one above the other to form an elevator module stack, the prefabricated elevator modules comprise a prefabricated pit module, one or more prefabricated intermediate modules, and a prefabricated top module; performing a plumbing operation of the shaft; installing said plurality of prefabricated modules such that the hoistway spaces of the prefabricated modules are vertically aligned forming a continuous vertically elongated hoistway where an elevator car can be moved vertically for transporting passengers and/or goods; providing a positioning jig comprising a jig frame with guide means interoperating with guide means receiving members in the bottom of the pit module for guiding the pit module into position relating to the jig and the shaft, determining an installation position for the jig by the plumbing operation and installing the jig in the installation position in the pit of the shaft indicated by the plumbing, and hoisting the pit module onto the jig guided by the guide means.     Abstract: This invention relates to a method of monitoring assembly of an elevator, comprising prefabricating a plurality of hoistway sections each hoistway section having a hoistway space, transporting the hoistway sections to a building site, and lifting the hoistway sections at the building site on top of each other. In order to facilitate fast and reliable assembly, a hoistway section is provided during prefabrication with a sensor device having a transmitter which is activating during prefabrication to transmit sensor data via to a data storage storing the transmitted sensor data in a memory. The sensor data is monitored, and transmission of a message to a predetermined recipient is triggered when the sensor data fulfills at least one predetermined criterion defined in an assembly plan.

    Abstract: An elevator car has at least one centrally closing automatic elevator car door including at least one first door leaf supported on a door supporter via at least one first door hanger and at least one second door leaf supported on the door supporter via at least one second door hanger, which first and second door hangers are configured to be driven by a door drive in opposite directions; a door lock including a first lock part arranged at one of the door hangers and interacting with a second lock part of the door lock located at a fixed structure of the elevator car, whereby at least one of said lock parts is movable, and an electric lock indicator switch having a first switching element located at the second door hanger and a second switching element connected to a fixed structure of the elevator car, one of those switching elements being movable, which electric lock indicator switch has a lock indicating position when the movable switching element contacts the other one after the elevator car door is locked. The first lock part is located at the first door hanger, the movable switching element is configured to be moved only by the movable lock part moving into its locking position and only after the second door hanger has adopted its closed position, whereby in the final stage of the closing movement of the door hangers the movable lock part is configured to move into its locking position only after the first door hanger has adopted its closed position. Only one electric switch is necessary to confirm closing and locking of the door leaves of an automatic centrally opening elevator door.
