An image reading apparatus includes: a hardware processor that acquires scan data obtained by reading from printed matter outputted by an image forming apparatus; an acquisitor that acquires print data used for image formation of the printed matter from the image forming apparatus; a first determiner that compares the scan data and the print data and detects whether or not the scan data and the print data match; a second determiner that determines whether or not a predetermined reference image is included in the scan data when a determination result by the first determiner is negative; and a first discarder that causes the scan data to be discarded when a determination result by the second determiner is positive.

Portable information devices each include a portable-side communication unit to communicate with an image processing apparatus within a range of a predetermined distance, and a portable-side control unit. The portable-side control unit executes the steps of: specifying a linked process; displaying an operation screen for accepting a setting value corresponding to the linked process in a state in which the portable-side communication unit is unable to communicate with the image processing apparatus; accepting a setting value from a user; in response to the portable-side communication unit becoming able to communicate with the image processing apparatus, transmitting a setting request and receiving a response to the setting request from the image processing apparatus; if the response indicates to start the linked process, transmitting/receiving data in cooperation with the image processing apparatus; and if the response requests a setting value, displaying an operation screen for setting the requested setting value.

An image processing apparatus includes a first memory used for first rearrangement processing on a group of pixels in an input image, and a second memory used for second rearrangement processing on a group of pixels in an image obtained by the first rearrangement processing, and performs correction processing that includes the first rearrangement processing and the second rearrangement processing on the input image. One of the first and second memories is capable of higher-speed random access than the other memory and has a smaller memory capacity than the other memory. One of the first rearrangement processing and the second rearrangement processing is processing for rearranging a group of pixels in each of a plurality of block images generated from the input image, and the other rearrangement processing is processing for rearranging pixel rows among the block images. The one rearrangement processing involves random access to the one memory.

An image forming apparatus has a function to perform imaging of a web page provided by an external web server and provide a user with the web page. The image forming apparatus acquires contents information of the web page which is information related to the web page, and determines whether a predetermined discrimination condition is satisfied or not for each area of the web page, based on the acquired contents information. The image forming apparatus transmits the information related to the web page to an external server apparatus which differs from the web server in response to the determination result, and acquires information sent from the server apparatus after the transmitting. The image forming apparatus executes imaging of the web page based on the information which was sent from the server apparatus.

A portable information device includes a shooting portion to shoot a subject, and a notice portion to notify an image forming apparatus that an image is shot, in response to an operation screen of the image forming apparatus being shot. The image forming apparatus includes a display control portion to display an operation screen, a data decision portion to decide related data related to an operation screen displayed at a point of time when the notice is received, from among data held by the image forming apparatus at that point of time, and a related data transmission portion to transmit the related data to the portable information device.
