摘要: An apparatus for humidifying a gas flow stream to generate a respiratory gas to be delivered to a patient is described. The apparatus comprises a plurality of humidification chambers connected in a sequence to allow the gas flow stream to flow sequentially through the plurality of humidification chambers. Each humidification chamber is configured to contain a liquid over which the gas flow stream can flow. At least one humidification chamber includes a nozzle that forms the gas flow stream into a gas jet that impinges on a surface of the liquid in each humidification chamber. The humidity level of the gas increases as the gas flow stream flows sequentially through the plurality of humidification chambers.

摘要: The present invention relates to a humidifier (10) for a system for providing a flow of breathable gas to an airway of a patient, wherein the humidifier (10) comprises: a casing (12) configured to contain a liquid reservoir (20); an air inlet (14) which is arranged at the casing (12); an air outlet (16) which is arranged at the casing (12); and a flow passage (18) connecting the air inlet (14) with the air outlet (16), wherein the flow passage (18) is in fluidic communication with the liquid reservoir (20), and wherein the humidifier (10) comprises a heat pipe (24) having a hot end (26) and a cold end (28), wherein the hot end (26) of the heat pipe (24) is arranged outside the casing (12) and the cold end (28) of the heat pipe (24) is arranged in the liquid reservoir (20).

摘要: A hair cutting appliance includes a mounting unit configured to couple a cutting unit to a housing. The mounting unit includes a swivel mechanism having a base portion configured to be coupled to the housing, and a top portion configured to be coupled to the cutting unit, where the base and top portions are movable with respect to each other, such that, during operation, the cutting unit is pivotably supported by the swivel mechanism, which defines a virtual pivot axis for the cutting unit. The virtual pivot axis is substantially parallel to a cutting edge of the cutting unit. In a first or shaving state of the swivel mechanism, the virtual pivot axis is located at a first position with respect to the cutting unit, and in a second or styling state, the virtual pivot axis is located at a second position that is different from the first position.

摘要: A mixing apparatus is described. The mixing apparatus has a first port for receiving milk, a second port for receiving steam, and a mixing chamber for mixing the milk, the steam, and air. A channel arrangement connects the first port and the second port, and defines an air intake channel which leads to a frothing section. The mixing apparatus is designed such that, in use, the frothing section fills sufficiently with steamed milk that has a direct path from the second port to the mixing chamber is interrupted by the steamed milk. This provides a noise reduction during use of the mixing apparatus. A flow reducing means, such as a barrier, may be used for this purpose.
