摘要: A processing unit and method for processing fetal Doppler ultrasound data to extract a set of signals representative of different distinct heart rate signal sources, i.e. maternal heart rate and fetal heart rate. Doppler data is received (32) from a plurality of different transducer sources, corresponding to different (but potentially overlapping) tissue regions within the maternal abdomen. From the multiple sources of Doppler ultrasound data is compiled (34) a single set of input signal channels, each corresponding to a different tissue region within the maternal abdomen. These are then processed successively by a PCA algorithm (36) followed by an ICA algorithm (38), which work to unmix the multiple heart rate sources present in each of the input channels, and derive a set of output signals from the ICA which can be taken as representative of separate heart rate sources.

摘要: The present invention relates to a physiological measurement device (11). In order to reduce common mode interference and/or to improve characteristics of the digital input filters (11) of the measurement device (11) without compromising common mode rejection capabilities of the input filters, it is proposed to calculate by means of optimization a set of filter coefficients for at least one digital input filter (31) associated with a specific input channel of the measurement device (11) based on samples (ci) of multiple input signals (si) of the measurement device (11) corresponding to a test signal (TS) applied to multiple input channels of the measurement device (11) and on at least one definition vector (vj) describing a linear combination of samples (ci) of at least two input channels.

摘要: According to an aspect, there is provided a computer-implemented method of determining blood pressure of a subject. The method comprises receiving (101) an envelope data set for the subject. The envelope data set comprises measurements of blood flow in a body part of the subject for respective different degrees of restriction applied to the body part. Next the method comprises using (103) a set of probability density functions, PDFs, to determine respective likelihoods for obtaining the measurements in the envelope data set for different pairs of values of the systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure. Finally, the method comprises determining (105) the systolic blood pressure and the diastolic blood pressure for the subject as the pair of values of the systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure that provides the highest likelihood for the envelope data set.

摘要: The present invention relates to a failure detection device (25) and method for a blood pressure monitoring device (20, 20′). To avoid potentially harmful injuries of a subject, the failure detection device comprises a data input (251) configured to obtain a pressure signal and/or a gas flow signal, the pressure signal indicating a cuff pressure of a cuff (10) that is configured to be mounted to a subject’s body part and to be inflated for performing a blood pressure measurement and the gas flow signal indicating gas flow entering the cuff during inflation and leaving the cuff during deflation; a signaling output (252) configured to output a failure signal; and a processor (253) configured to detect, based on the obtained pressure signal and/or the obtained gas flow signal, a deflation failure indicating a failure to deflate the cuff after a blood pressure measurement below a safety cuff pressure and to control the signaling output (252) to output a failure signal indicating a deflation failure in case a deflation failure is detected.

摘要: The present invention relates to a physiological measurement device (11) comprising a processor (37) configured to input (47, 49) at least one digital signal (x) from frontend circuitry (17) of the measurement device (13), the digital signal (x) representing an analog signal (s) present at an input (13) of the frontend circuitry (17) and at least one filtered digital signal (y), the filtered digital signal (y) generated by at least one digital filter (27) from the digital signal (x) based on a set of filter coefficients (fk). In order to allow for implementing alarm-related monitoring efficiently in terms of cost and power consumption so that interference with other measurements devices applied to the same patient is minimized, it is proposed that the measurement device (11) comprise a coefficient calculator (31) configured to perform an adaptation operation (51) based on the digital signal (x) and the filtered digital signal (y); and a checker (33) configured to determine (53) alarm information (A) from a result (fk, g1) of the adaptation operation (51).

摘要: A processing unit and method are provided for processing fetal Doppler ultrasound data to extract a set of signals representative of different distinct heart rate signal sources, i.e. maternal heart rate and fetal heart rate. Doppler data is received corresponding to a plurality of different depth zones (16a, 16b, 16c) in the fetal region and, these processed into a set of input channels, each corresponding to a different depth. These are then processed successively by a PCA algorithm followed by an ICA algorithm, which work to unmix the multiple heart rate sources present in each of the input channels, and derive a set of output signals from the ICA which can be taken as representative of separate heart rate sources.
