Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to mechanisms for oral irrigator fluid channels which provide back flow prevention. The oral irrigator comprises: an irrigator tip; a tether having a first end and a second end, a third channel arranged between the first end and the second end, where the first end of the tether is in fluid communication with the second channel; a reservoir containing a fluid, the reservoir in fluid communication with a pump, the pump in fluid communication with the third channel and the second end of the tether; and an arrowhead check valve comprising a resilient element and an elastic head element, the arrowhead check valve arranged within the first channel, the second channel, or the third channel. The irrigator tip comprises: a nozzle comprising a first channel; and a handle comprising a second channel in fluid communication with the first channel.

Abstract: A valve assembly (10) including first and second housing parts (22, 24). The first and second housing parts are secured to each other such that respective channels in each are aligned to define inlet and outlet fluid pathways (25, 35) through the valve assembly. A leaf valve insert (38) is arranged between the first and second housing parts, and includes a plurality of leaves (40). First and second leaves are respectively aligned with the inlet and outlet fluid pathways. The first leaf (40a) is configured to permit fluid flow in the inlet fluid pathway in a first direction while impeding fluid flow in a second direction. The second leaf (40b) is configured to permit fluid flow in the outlet fluid pathway in the second direction while impeding fluid flow in the first direction. The first direction is from the first housing part toward the second, and the second direction is from the second housing part toward the first.

The module (MD) and the control unit (8) are integrated within the portable textile treatment device. The image sensor comprises an active surface sensitive to light which is oriented with respect to the surface of the heatable soleplate (4), with an absolute value of an orientation angle being in the range from 15 to 70 degrees. The portable textile treatment device further comprises thermal insulation means arranged in-between the heatable soleplate (4) and the module (MD) for insulating the module (MD) from heat dissipated by the heatable soleplate (4).
