Abstract: An oral irrigator having an irrigator tip, the tip including a handle portion, a tip portion, a channel in fluid communication with the tether and arranged within the handle portion and the tip portion, and an actuator located on or within the handle portion, the actuator arranged to at least partially altar a flow of a fluid through the channel. The oral irrigator further includes a housing, the housing having a reservoir in fluid communication with a pump sub-assembly, a sensor arranged to measure a first pressure or first electrical load within the pump sub-assembly, and a control unit arranged to control an operational current provided to the pump sub-assembly where operation of the actuator produces a second pressure or electrical load measured by the sensor and the control unit is arranged to alter the operational current of the motor in response to the change.

Abstract: Provided is a wet cleaning apparatus (10), such as a wet vacuum cleaner. The wet cleaning apparatus comprises a dirt inlet (11), and a motor (14) and fan (16) for delivering suction to the dirt inlet. A separator unit (18) separates water from a flow of air generated by the suction. The apparatus further includes a container (19) for collecting the separated water. The container has a top (19A) and a bottom (19B). An air passage (22) is provided in the container for passing the air separated from the water towards the motor and fan. The air passage is spatially separated from the bottom of the container. An internal wall (19E) extends from the top towards the bottom of the container. A space (25) is thus defined between the container and the internal wall. Water collected at the bottom of container is receivable in the space when the container is orientated, e.g. tilted, such that the collected water moves from the bottom towards the top of the container. The internal wall is arranged to prevent water received in the space from passing into the air passage.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to mechanisms for oral irrigator fluid channels which provide back flow prevention. The oral irrigator comprises: an irrigator tip; a tether having a first end and a second end, a third channel arranged between the first end and the second end, where the first end of the tether is in fluid communication with the second channel; a reservoir containing a fluid, the reservoir in fluid communication with a pump, the pump in fluid communication with the third channel and the second end of the tether; and an arrowhead check valve comprising a resilient element and an elastic head element, the arrowhead check valve arranged within the first channel, the second channel, or the third channel. The irrigator tip comprises: a nozzle comprising a first channel; and a handle comprising a second channel in fluid communication with the first channel.

Abstract: A wet cleaning apparatus includes a cleaner head having a dirt inlet. A motor and fan deliver suction to the dirt inlet. Further, the wet cleaning apparatus includes a separator unit for separating water from a flow of air generated by the suction. The separated water is collected in a container having a top and a bottom, and a side portion extending there between. The separated air is passed out of the container towards the motor and fan via an air passage. The air passage is spatially separated from the bottom of the container. The water collected in the container sloshes against the side portion of the container when a user is pushing the cleaner head and the container forward. A water directing member sealingly adjoins the side portion, and protrudes into the container backwards from the side portion, thereby to inhibit the water sloshing against the side portion.

Abstract: A cyclone unit is for separating liquid and particles from a suction flow. A main flow inlet to the outer housing of the cyclone unit includes an opening. The transition between the main flow inlet and the outer housing at this opening has, at least for a portion of the opening, a radius of curvature of at least 0.5 mm. The large radius of curvature prevents the formation of static water drops.

Abstract: A wet vacuum cleaner uses a cyclone unit for separating liquid and particles from a suction flow. A main flow inlet to a cyclone chamber is spaced internally from its respective end by a separation distance. The separation distance is at least 0.1 times (effective/equivalent) diameter of the main flow inlet, which assists in preventing formation of large droplets which follows a path to a main flow outlet.

Abstract: A valve assembly (10) including first and second housing parts (22, 24). The first direction is from the first housing part toward the second, and the second direction is from the second housing part toward the first.
