摘要: The present invention relates to an apparatus (100), system (200), method (300), and computer program for distinguishing between active and inactive time periods of a subject. An input unit (110) receives time-dependent activity data (120) (e.g., corresponding to a level of activity). An activity threshold providing unit (130) provides an activity threshold (140) for the subject. An activity assessment unit (150) classifies the time-dependent activity data (120) based on the activity threshold (140). The activity threshold providing unit (130) provides the activity threshold (140) individually for said subject. The present invention provides an approach to patient-tailor the activity threshold (140) for periods of activity and inactivity.

摘要: A system is provided for triggering an action based on a disease severity and/or an affective state of a subject. Sensor data are used which monitors physiological conditions of the subject as well as user data which convey a subjective assessment of their affective state. An objective health indication is obtained from the sensor data and a subjective health indication is obtained from the user data. These indications are compared and this comparison is used in estimating a disease severity. A trigger for action by the subject or by a caregiver is generated based on the estimated disease severity and/or affective state.

摘要: An apparatus comprises an activity monitor for measuring physical activity of a subject. The activity monitor is configured to obtain a first set of physical activity data over a first time period, for example during the day, and a second set of physical activity data over a second time period, for example during the night. A processor processes the data obtained by the activity monitor to calculate a physical activity ratio which is the ratio of the physical activity measured during the first time period to the physical activity measured in the second time period. The processor also calculates a first overall value which represents an activity level of the subject during the first time period. The physical activity ratio together with the first overall value may be used to assess the severity of symptoms of COPD displayed by a subject or to identify respiratory disease comorbidity information for example psychological issues such as low motivation, or sleep quality issues displayed by the subject.

摘要: A mechanical ventilation device comprising at least one electronic controller configured to receive imaging data and transpulmonary pressure data associated with a lung of a patient; perform deformable image registration of the inhalation image and the exhalation image to produce a relative compliance or elasticity map of the lungs; convert the relative compliance or elasticity map of the lungs to a quantitative compliance or elasticity map of the lungs based on the inhale transpulmonary pressure and the exhale transpulmonary pressure; and display the information relating to or derived from the quantitative compliance or elasticity map on a display device.

摘要: A cough detection system and method uses a first database of physiological information relating to a user for whom cough detection is to be implemented and relating to other people likely to be in the vicinity of the user. A second database (used in real time or as a part of a system calibration) has cough data associated with the physiological information. There is a set of cough detection algorithms, each one tailored to a particular set of physiological characteristics. A cough detection algorithm is selected or constructed which is suitable for identifying coughs of the user while ignoring coughs of the other people. This selected algorithm is applied to sound collected to identify coughs of the user.

摘要: A respiratory monitoring device includes an electronic controller configured to: analyze an audio signal triggered during inspiratory and expiratory phases of a patient receiving mechanical ventilation therapy from a mechanical ventilator, the audio signal being acoustically coupled into the airway of the patient, to determine resonant frequencies of the airway; determine a shift in the resonant frequencies between the inspiratory and expiratory phases to determine a presence of pendelluft inside of a lung of the patient; and output an indication of the presence of pendelluft.

摘要: A mechanical ventilation device comprises at least one electronic controller configured to: receive ultrasound data related to a thickness of a diaphragm of a patient during inspiration and expiration while the patient undergoes mechanical ventilation therapy with a mechanical ventilator; calculate a diaphragm thickness metric based on at least the ultrasound data; and when the calculated diaphragm thickness metric does not satisfy an acceptance criterion, at least one of: output an alert indicative of the calculated diaphragm thickness metric failing to satisfy the acceptance criterion; and output a recommended adjustment to one or more parameters of the mechanical ventilation therapy delivered to the patient.

摘要: The present disclosure pertains to a system for facilitating configuration modifications for a patient interface computer system based on an equivalent effort parameter. In some embodiments, the system obtains (i) one or more first measurements associated with a first subject, the first subject having a clinical coefficient, (ii) one or more second measurements associated with a second subject. The system determines (i) a first effort parameter based on the one or more first measurements, (ii) a second effort parameter based on the one or more second measurements, and (iii) an equivalent effort factor for the first subject based on the one or more first measurements, the one or more second measurements, and the clinical coefficient. The system causes a configuration of the patient interface computer system to be modified based on the equivalent effort factor.

摘要: A ventilation apparatus has a breathing gas delivery system for delivering breathing gas to a user of the apparatus as ventilation therapy, with a controllable pressure and flow. The breathing pressure and flow are monitored to derive a respiration variability. A state of relaxation of the user is derived during provision of breathing assistance based on at least the respiration variability. Settings of the ventilation apparatus are then adapted dependence on the estimated state of relaxation for assisting the user in habituating to the breathing assistance, and hence habituating to breathing therapy.
