Abstract:
Disclosed are an apparatus and a method of measuring porosity and permeability of a carbon dioxide underground storage medium. Both of the porosity and the permeability are measured in the state that the confining pressure is applied once. The variation characteristic in the porosity and the permeability of the core sample according to the salt precipitation occurring when supercritical carbon dioxide is injected is continuously measured. The apparatus includes a holder receiving a core sample, a pressure pump applying a confining pressure to the core sample, a gas chamber storing gas and supplying supply the stored gas to the core sample, first to third pressure gauges measuring an internal pressure of the gas chamber and front and rear portions of the holder, and a gas flow meter measuring a flow rate of gas.
Abstract:
Disclosed is provided a method of injecting and reacting super-critical phase CO2 without pressure loss. The method includes preparing gas phase CO2, producing liquid phase CO2 by pressurizing the prepared gas phase CO2, producing super-critical phase CO2 by adjusting a temperature of the produced liquid phase CO2, filling incompressible fluid in a reactor and an injection line from an injection unit and pressurizing the incompressible fluid, injecting the produced super-critical phase CO2 into the reactor, and controlling a pressure of the injected super-critical phase CO2 by a pressure regulating unit.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a holder for measuring a permeability of an unconsolidated sediment. The holder includes a sediment installation part having a solid sediment attached to opposite ends of an unconsolidated sediment along a longitudinal direction; a transverse pressure supply part installed to surround the sediment installation part to supply a predetermined transverse pressure to the sediment installation part by using a fluid supplied from the outside; and a longitudinal pressure supply part installed at opposite ends of the transverse pressure supply part to cover opposite ends of the sediment installation part to be moved along a vertical direction so as to supply a predetermined longitudinal pressure to the sediment installation part.
