Abstract: A device for transporting containers along a transport path having: a base chain with a plurality of chain links lined up in a row along the transport path and connected to one another in a correspondingly pivotable manner via chain joints, wherein the chain links are at least partly displaceable relative to one another in the direction of the transport path, so that the distance between adjacent chain joints is at least to some extent variable; a plurality of container carriers provided on at least some of the chain links and configured to receive a respective container and carry it along the transport path; a chain track configured to guide the base chain along the transport path; and a toggle lever mechanism attached to the base chain and configured to effect the displacement of the chain links relative to one another in cooperation with the chain track.

Abstract: A method for format adaptation of carriages for the transportation of bottles on a linear motor system and a corresponding linear motor system are described. According thereto, container guides provided on the carriages are adapted to the body cross-section of the bottles by adjusting a guide width in an automated manner between guide jaws of the container guides which in relation to the direction of travel are the leading and trailing ones. There is then no need to replace component parts at the container guides, and the production in filling systems is optimised in terms of staff requirements, resultant production stoppages, and error sources.

Abstract: A holding device for holding a container, for example for holding a container in a transport device of a beverage filling plant is described. The holding device includes a fastening part and two gripping arms, which are pivotably connected to the fastening part and can be brought into a closed position in order to hold the container and can be brought into an open position in order to insert and remove the container. A preloaded elastic bow is disposed between the gripping arms, and the elastic bow can be brought into a first position, in which the gripping arms are in the open position, and into a second position, in which the gripping arms are in the closed position. The preload of the elastic bow in the first position holds the gripping arms in the open position and the preload of the elastic bow in the second position holds the gripping arms in the closed position.

Abstract: A machine block and a method for filling bottles with liquid products, in particular beverages, are described. Accordingly, at least a first and second filler of circulating design with infeed starwheels and outfeed starwheels are provided. Filling can take place with a small amount of required space and comparatively low machine output in that the empty bottles are alternatingly removed from a transport path which runs linearly at least in some portions and supplied by means of the infeed starwheels to the first and second fillers interlocking with said transport path, and the bottles thus filled are transferred again to the transport path into transport gaps produced between the bottles during removal.
