Abstract:
An image forming apparatus is provided which shortens the time for image formation, thereby improving the convenience. To achieve this, the control part of the image forming apparatus has a job data acquisition part and a conveyance speed control part. The job data acquisition part acquires job data from an operation panel part, a document reading part, an external terminal, or the like. The conveyance speed control part measures the temperature of a temperature sensor at the time of initial start-up operation of conveying a recording sheet, and at the time when the recording sheet has reached a registration roller pair, respectively. Further, the conveyance speed control part selects whether or not to wait for a prescribed waiting time and whether or not to reduce the fixing speed below a normal speed, according to a condition corresponding to the respective measured temperatures.

An image reading device has a light source section that includes light sources of a plurality of colors and that emits light in one color during a period for reading one line and switches the color of the light source lit cyclically from one line to the next, an image sensor that reads one color per line, a data generation section that generates image data of the light source color which is the color of the light source lit during reading, a memory that stores a plurality of lines' worth of the image data, and a remaining color component generation section that determines the pixel value of a color component other than the light source color based on the pixel values of pixels around a pixel of interest.
Abstract:
A developing device includes N number of containers, N number of conveying members, N number of first sensors, stirring portions, a switching unit, and a control unit. The N number of conveying members stir and convey respective developers inside the N number of containers. The N number of first sensors are located at the N number of containers to detect toners remaining amount inside of the N number of containers. The stirring portions are located at the respective N number of conveying members to stir the developers at detecting regions opposed to detecting surfaces of the N number of first sensors by rotations of the N number of conveying members. The switching unit selects any one of outputs of the N number of first sensors to output. The control unit receives the selected output to detect the remaining amounts of the developers inside the N number of containers.
