    Abstract: The present invention prevents erroneous operation of an operation screen by a user when an interruption notification screen is displayed on the operation screen. An information processing device is provided with: a display portion that can be operated by touch; a display control portion that displays, on the display portion, an operation screen in which a plurality of soft keys are arranged for inputting characters; a storage portion in which data indicating specific character strings likely to be input by a user is stored in advance; an interruption detection portion that detects the occurrence of an interruption; an interruption notification portion that displays an interruption notification screen for reporting the occurrence of an interruption on the operation screen in an overlaid manner when the occurrence of an interruption is detected by the interruption detection portion; and a prediction portion that uses the data indicating specific character strings to predict a first soft key corresponding to a character likely to be input next by the user among the plurality of soft keys. The interruption notification portion displays the interruption notification screen so that the first soft key predicted by the prediction portion is exposed.

    Abstract: Provided is a document reading device that can cause an image processing part to execute automatically image processing operations corresponding to respective plural functions, depending on a document mounting condition on a platen without performing a setting operation on a panel part. A system control part causes a document detection sensor to detect a part (periphery) of the document. The image processing operations corresponding to respective plural functions are made on image data of the document read by a scanner part. Further, when the platen cover plate open-close detection sensor detects that the platen cover plate is closed, the image processing part is allowed to execute a function that is assigned to the document detection part that has read the document.

    Abstract: Provided is an image reading apparatus that instantaneously executes functions and settings with the setting of a document on a platen glass, and an image forming apparatus. The image reading part according to the present disclosure includes a platen cover, an opening and closing detecting part, and an operation executing part. The document placing position detecting part acquires position placing data by pre-scan of a scanner, when opening of the platen cover is detected, after the opening of the platen cover is detected, and detects a placing position of a document placed on the platen glass based on the acquired placing position detecting data.
