Abstract: A contactless power transfer system is proposed. The power transfer system comprises a field-focusing element comprising a dielectric material. The dielectric material includes an oxide material including (Mg1−xSrx)yTiO(2+y), wherein x can vary between the value of zero and 1 such that 0≦x≦1, and y can be 0, 1, or 2. A power transfer system further including a first coil coupled to a power source and a second coil coupled to a load is disclosed. In this system, the field-focusing element including the dielectric material is disposed between the first coil and the second coil.
