    摘要: A hot melt curing urethane adhesives with heat stability, green bond strength and fully cured bond strength that are surprisingly compatible in production and use. The reactive hot melt adhesive composition includes a composition including an isocyanate compound; a polyester-polyol compound; a reactive tackifying resin including non-polar polyols; and a thermoplastic polymer. The components of the adhesive composition cooperate in at least some embodiments to form a hot melt compatible adhesive composition that has substantial initial green strength, substantial cured bond strength, chemical and heat resistance when cured, extended pot life, long open times, high heat resistance, (i.e., high PAFT), and good adhesion to plastics.

    摘要: A polyisocyanurate composition suitable for use as a paintbrush potting compound which does not foam at bristle interfaces, rapidly penetrates bristle bundles and cures rapidly to a highly solvent resistant embedment with good adhesion to both bristle and ferrule materials, comprises:a polyisocyanate containing at least 18% by weight NCO content;a polyol;the polyisocyanate and polyol components being present in respective amounts so as to provide a NCO/OH ratio of between 2 and 4; and,an amount of catalyst effective to catalyze cure of the composition predominantly by formation of isocyanurate linkages without substantial gassing.

    摘要: Metal casing structures for windows, doors frames and the like which employ a cured polyurethane thermal break produced from a liquid curable formulation catalyzed by certain tertiary amines, especially a diazabicyclic compound, between respective interior and exterior facing segments of the casing have much greater resistance to debonding of the break on thermal cycling than do casings manufactured using prior art formulations catalyzed with metal compounds.
