Abstract:
The invention proposes a handle for a screwdriver or a similar tool, which over a significant part of its length has a cross-section in the form of an approximately regular pentagon. The corner or angle sections are rounded with a radius of curvature, whose centre is in the longitudinal axis of the tool handle. The corner sections formed by the curved part of the cross-section have a different width over the handle length. The shape of the flattenings does not follow the shape of the handle contour.
Abstract:
A fly-cutter milling machine for the simultaneous milling of a plurality of grooves (12) in rotating workpieces (2) by means of a fly cutter (3) which protrudes radially outwards on a rotating tool holder, the speed of revolution of the tool holder and the speed of revolution of the workpiece being in a ratio which is determined by the number of grooves of the workpiece. In order to obtain optimum operation with the groove profile precisely adapted to the tool cutting edge, the rotation of the workpiece (2) is briefly interrupted at the moment of the maximum depth of plunge of the fly cutter (3) by a phase of reduced speed of the workpiece (2).
Abstract:
A device for connecting a tool to a mechanical drive contains as the coupling element a spring washer coupling or clutch, which is made in one piece from metal and at least in the rotation direction has a limited resilience. Use is made thereof for preventing torque peaks in the case of a sudden deceleration of the tool, e.g. if a screw strikes a wood surface.
Abstract:
A screw tool has a direction-reversible catch including clamping members disposed within wedge-shaped clamping spaces between an outer drive ring part (5) and an inner driven core part (8) of approximately triangular shape in cross section, the clamping members are displaceable by a rotatable switch member which is lockable in its switch positions into release with respect to the wedge walls of the corresponding clamping space by drivers acting on the clamping members and blocking the passage of the clamping members into, in each case one of their two clamping positions, and it proposes, in provide for a structurally simple friction-minimized construction wherein each clamping member lies loosely in a clamping space and is displaceable into its clamping position by the rotation of the drive ring part.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a handle for a hand tool and a method for the manufacture of the handle. The problem of the invention is to provide a handle for a hand tool, whose surface is formed from areas of distinguishable materials and which simultaneously has a good and pleasant grippability. A handle according to the invention for a hand tool, particularly a turning tool, is made from plastic. It has a surface from flush-connected areas of distinguishable materials. The two materials can be distinguished from one another.
Abstract:
A machine for simultaneously milling several grooves in rotating workpieces by means of a rotating one-toothed milling tool, whereby the rotational speeds of the milling tool and workpiece stand in a ratio determined by the number of grooves, and whereby the milling tool in the longitudinal direction from the free end of the workpiece--freely-cutting--is plunged in the workpiece which is advanced in the longitudinal movement. The tool carrier is pivotable about an axis lying perpendicularly to the rotational axis of the workpiece such that the rotational plane of the cutter tool is able to be brought in an acute angle relative to the rotational axis of the workpiece.
Abstract:
A knife head, particularly for multi-edge lathes having knives held in plates and braceable in their operating position, which plates are adjustable, in order to obtain a radial adjustability of the knives, by means of an eccentric tool which is insertable in a bore in the knife head. There is coordinated to the eccentric tool-insertion bore which is directed onto the rear surface of the plate, a recess laterally offset thereto which is formed in the rear wall of the plate for the insertion therein of an eccentrically offset end of the eccentric tool.
Abstract:
A machine for grinding of peripheral surfaces on workpieces, particularly, screw driver blades, comprising at least one grinding disc or abrasive belt contact disc, respectively, arranged on a rotating carrier which is driven in a predetermined transmission ratio synchronously to the likewise rotating workpiece such that the grinding disc or abrasive belt contact disc, respectively, steps forward into the grinding position in periodic rotation synchronized with the turning of the workpiece.

Abstract:
A screwdriver with replaceable blade is inserted in the longitudinal direction of the handle from one end in non-rotatable complementary manner into an opening having a non-round cross section with which there is associated a spring for holding the blade by friction. The opening is formed from a socket which is of polygonal shape on an inside and an outside thereof and a part (x) of the length thereof is held in non-rotatable complementary manner within the handle while the remaining length (y) thereof projects beyond an end surface of the handle said socket being formed on an inner wall thereof with an annular groove, and a spring of ring shape is disposed partly in the groove.
