摘要: An in-line adhesive, useful for transdermal delivery devices comprising a mixture of high and low molecular weighted polyisobutylene having a ratio HMW PIB:LMW PIB in the range of about 5-40:95-60 which is substantially free of plasticizers and tackifiers is disclosed. The adhesive finds particular use as a component of a transdermal delivery device for delivering oily non-polar agents such as nicotine, benztropine, secoverine, dexsecoverine, and arecoline.

摘要: The invention herein pertains to methods and materials for producing a nicotine maintenance pouch. Laminates comprising a nicotine barrier layer and a nicotine degradation agent barrier layer are disclosed. In a preferred embodiment, the nicotine barrier layer comprises a nitrile rubber modified acrylonitrilemethyl acrylate copolymer. An especially preferred nicotine barrier material comprises, by weight percent, 75% acrylonitrile, and 25% methyl acrylate with 10% butadiene (AN-MA/B). The nicotine degradation agent barrier layer is preferably aluminum foil. In an especially preferred embodiment, the laminate comprises a layer of AN-MA/B adhered to a layer of aluminum foil, which in turn is adhered to a layer of paper stock.Pouches comprising a self-sealed nicotine barrier layer and a nicotine degradation agent barrier layer are disclosed. These pouches are preferably formed from the laminates above.A method for production of pouches comprises: (a) providing a laminate including a self-sealable nicotine barrier layer and a nicotine degradation agent barrier layer; and (b) sealing the self-sealable nicotine barrier layer to enclose a nicotine device.

摘要: A method for providing an image of software installed on a computer system is disclosed. The method includes the steps of deconstructing the image into at least one portion and creating at least one module from the at least one portion of the image. The deconstructing step can include the steps of scanning an image and identifying at least one portion of the image to be modularized. The creating step can include the steps of extracting the at least one portion of the image identified to be modularized and generating at least one module from the extracted portion of the image. The modules that are created in accordance with the present invention can be formatted for use in a new image or part of a new image to be used with a software program such as with a hardware-independent imaging tool. Furthermore, the modules can be used with hardware-independent technologies and can facilitate management of image inventory and facilitate deployment of images to new computer systems with different hardware configurations. Furthermore, the method is simple, cost effective and capable of being easily adapted to existing technology.

摘要: Printing apparatus including a flexible support for a patch to be printed on and a vertical ram carrying type at its lower end. An inking roller is positioned to pass over the type with the type held up away from the patch to be printed on, and, after the inking roller has left the area of the type, the ram drives the inked type onto the patch. The ram is then raised, and the inking roller returns from being inked to a position where it can again ink the raised type to begin and repeat the printing operation.
