Abstract:
Shipping containers for batteries are described herein. An example shipping container includes a base defining a cavity, a lid to be coupled to a top of the base to substantially seal the cavity, and an absorbent pad disposed within the cavity to absorb liquid from the battery if the battery leaks.
Abstract:
A method for manufacturing a lithium hydroxide powder includes a pulverizing step of pulverizing coarse particles of lithium hydroxide to obtain lithium hydroxide powder; and a carbonation-suppressing step of storing the lithium hydroxide powder in an airtight container in an atmosphere satisfying requirements (1) and (2).
(1) A partial pressure of carbon dioxide gas is 100 Pa or less with respect to a total amount of gas present in the airtight container. (2) A relative humidity in the airtight container is 60% or less.

Abstract:
A steel sheet for a fuel tank includes: a Zn—Ni alloy plated layer which is placed on one surface or each of both surfaces of a base metal and formed on at least one surface; and an inorganic chromate-free chemical conversion coating film which is placed over the Zn—Ni alloy plated layer. The Zn—Ni alloy plated layer has a crack starting from an interface between the Zn—Ni alloy plated layer and the inorganic chromate-free chemical conversion coating film and reaching an interface between the Zn—Ni alloy plated layer and the steel sheet, and a water contact angle on a surface of the inorganic chromate-free chemical conversion coating film is more than or equal to 50 degrees.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a package comprising a packaging for storing and/or transporting radioactive materials and an assembly containing radioactive materials (16) housed in a cavity of the packaging closed by a cover (6), the package comprising a system for dampening impact of the assembly against the cover (6), the system comprising at least one deformable dampening device (42) and a loading device (26) of the deformable dampening device. According to the invention, one of the devices (42) is mounted moveable on the cover (6) in a plane orthogonal to the axis (8) of the packaging, and has means (50) of self-centering relatively to the other of the devices (26), provided on the assembly containing the radioactive materials (16).
Abstract:
A three-piece resealable can for acidic liquid includes, a cylindrical can body member that includes a screw portion at one end; and a can bottom member that contacts the can body member so as to close an opening portion of the other end of the can body member. The can body member includes a cylindrical first steel sheet, Ni plating that is formed on an inner circumferential surface of the first steel sheet, a polyester film that is formed so as to be disposed on the outermost surface of the inner circumference of the can body member, and a Zr-containing film that is formed between the first steel sheet and the polyester film. The can bottom member includes a second steel sheet, and Sn plating that is formed on the can body member side of the can bottom member. The Zr-containing film contains Zr compounds.
Abstract:
A single use bag for storing a material. The single use bag includes a two layers of which one of the two layers is in contact with the material container within the bag. The layer which is in contact with the material contained within the bag is an active layer. The active layer may be made active by incorporating a scavenger into the layer. At least one layer of the single use bag may include a fluoropolymer.
Abstract:
A process for reducing malodour in a pack comprising a cleaning composition, the composition comprising a cleaning-active capable of generating malodour and an oxidizing agent, the process comprising the steps of: i) creating a mixture comprising the cleaning-active capable of generating malodour and the oxidising agent; ii) leaving the mixture to rest for a resting period of at least 24 hours; and iii) optionally converting the mixture into a unit-dose product; and iv) packing the mixture resulting from step ii) or the unit-dose product resulting from step iii) into a pack.
Abstract:
A sterile cover for a touchscreen device is provided that includes a transparent, electrically conductive screen area adapted to cover a screen of the touchscreen device and including a first sterile material. The sterile cover also includes a perimeter area surrounding the screen region and having an opening adapted to receive the touchscreen device and including a second sterile material. A removable sterile cover for substantially encapsulating a touchscreen device is provided that includes an opening for inserting the touchscreen device into the cover and a closure for closing the opening. A device for dispensing sterile covers for touchscreen devices is provided that includes a chamber adapted to enclose a plurality of sterile covers and an actuator adapted to move a next sterile cover of into a ready position. The device also includes a loading area adapted to hold a touchscreen device.
Abstract:
A bi-phasic pharmaceutical composition for oral administration including one or more solid active ingredient containing particles dispersed within a semi-solid carrier formulation. The solid particles include a coating with pH-triggered drug release properties and the semi-solid carrier formulation is formulated at a pH that is different than the pH at which the active ingredient release properties of the coating are triggered. Also described is a delivery system for delivery of the bi-phasic pharmaceutical composition including the bi-phasic pharmaceutical composition described above and a dispenser pouch formed from flexible laminate sheets. Further, a process for manufacturing the two-phase pharmaceutical delivery system is described including the filling the bi-phasic pharmaceutical composition into flexible dispenser pouches, which allows the patient to squeeze and dispense the contents of the package directly into the oral cavity.
