    摘要: A white balance adjusting apparatus has a plurality of sensors for producing color temperature detection signals dependent on a color temperature of an environment. An illuminance discriminating circuit produces an illumination discrimination signal indicating whether or not an illuminance of the environment is within a predetermined range. A color temperature discriminating circuit produces a predetermined color temperature detection signal from the color temperature detection signals. A standard color temperature setting circuit sets and outputs one of a plurality of standard color temperature signals for each of a plurality of color temperature regions. A white balance correction control circuit is controlled in dependence on the illumination discriminating signal, the predetermined color temperature detection signals, and the standard color temperature signals so as not to carry out an erroneous white balance adjustment even when the illuminance of the environment is extremely high or low.

A horopter-plane image projection unit 311 is designed to project a non-stereo image supplied via a signal line 129 onto a cylindrical plane (horopter plane) including a horopter circle. The size of the horopter circle is specified using, for example, the radius as horopter circle information. Additionally, the relationship with two eyes is specified by the interocular distance. A display surface right-eye projection unit 316 is designed to project an image projected on the horopter plane onto a display surface for the right eye. A display surface left-eye projection unit 317 is designed to project the image projected on the horopter plane onto a display surface for the left eye. Therefore, retinal images that are identical to each other are supplied to the two eyes to remove influences of physiological stereoscopic elements, and stereoscopic depth is given.

    摘要: The invention provides an image processing apparatus and an image processing method. An area to which image data belongs is discriminated, and a correction coefficient to be used for correction of a pixel value of the image data is produced based on a result of the discrimination. Then, the pixel value of the image data is corrected with the correction coefficient. The relationship in magnitude among pixel values in the same area is maintained because the same coefficient is used, but pixel values which belong to different areas can be varied or even reversed. This allows the gradation of an entire image to be corrected while preventing partial deterioration of the contrast.
