    摘要: A linear scale features a removable scale channel and adjustable head assembly for easy, accurate, permanent positioning on a machine tool bed or other mobile device. The scale channel, and a matching positioning tool, has balls at opposite ends engaging a socketed mounting bracket. When in use, the flexible socket coupling is clamped into immobility by removable covers over open faces of the mounting brackets. During installation, the mounting brackets engage the positioning tool rather than the scale channel and with the flexible-socket couplings free to gimbal. The mounting brackets are fixed to the machine tool at a fixed axial spacing determined by the length of the positioning tool but at whatever angular attitude best suits the supporting surface of the machine tool. The positioning tool is then removed and replaced by the scale channel. The head assembly is fixed to a stationary stand opposite the scale channel. An adjustable mechanism allows the sliding head of the head assembly to move perpendicular to the axial direction relative to a base fixed to the stand.

    摘要: There is provided a method for manufacturing steel parts for an automotive automatic transmission in which a desired joint portion of each steel part is copper-brazed at a high temperature while chromium in an alloy steel for machine structural use forming the steel part for an automotive automatic transmission is kept in a reducing atmosphere and without removal of carbon, and the part is successively reheated continuously with the copper brazing by utilizing residual heat at the time of copper brazing, by which the temperature of the part is increased to perform quench hardening. In the above-described manufacturing method, the heating treatment for copper brazing of the part and the heating treatment for quenching thereof are connected to each other via an intermediate cooling treatment in which the temperature of the part is decreased to a temperature below the Ar1 point, and these heating treatments are performed in an atmosphere of a neutral gas such as nitrogen gas supplied into a graphite muffle. At this time, the gas atmosphere is reducing and carburizing, and the temperature increase for copper brazing and quench hardening of the part is accomplished continuously and freely without oxidation of chromium or removal of chromium and carbon.

    摘要: A reel holder for use in a tape winding apparatus comprises a cylindrical drum unit which is rotated by the tape winding apparatus. A plurality of lock pins are radially movably mounted in a peripheral portion of the drum unit. Each each lock pin is axially movable between a projected position wherein an outer end thereof is projected outwardly from a cylindrical outer wall of the drum unit and a retracted position wherein the outer end thereof is retracted into the drum unit. First and second buttons are mounted on an axial end of the drum unit. Each button is movable in parallel with the axis of the drum unit between raised and depressed positions with respect to the axial end of the drum unit. A transmission device is installed in the drum unit and operated in such a manner as to move the lock pins to the projected position when the first button is moved to the depressed position and permit the lock pins to return to the retracted position when the second button is moved to the depressed position.
