    摘要： This invention is directed to an electric zig zag sewing machine comprising a plurality of stacked pattern cams mounted on a rotation axis, each of the cams bearing different information of corresponding pattern of stitches, a cam follower mounted on a rod for movement in the direction parallel to said axis, a plurality of select switches for selecting any one of the pattern cams and electric control circuit arrangement for moving the cam follower to a position corresponding to any one of the cams selected by one of the select switches.

    摘要： A read only memory (ROM) is provided for storing digital information related to stitch patterns and control instructions for stitch formation purposes. A keyboard means is provided for selecting a desired stitch pattern and control instruction stored in the ROM. Selected digital information is introduced into a random access memory (RAM) and temporarily stored therein. The RAM develops control signals for controlling the needle position and the work feed in accordance with the control instruction selected through the keyboard means.

    摘要： In an automatic electronic sewing machine including a read only memory (ROM) and a random access memory (RAM), the read only memory (ROM) stores pattern data for performing buttonhole stitch operation in the forward direction and pattern data for performing buttonhole stitch operation in the backward direction. A first control switch functions to conduct the buttonhole stitch operation in the forward direction by a desired length selected by the operator. A storage means is provided for storing the length information of the buttonhole stitch formation in the forward direction, or the repetition number of a unit pattern in the forward direction. A second control switch functions to conduct the buttonhole stitch operation in the backward direction by the length stored in the storage means.
