Abstract:
A video projector includes a shell case, which accommodates optical components, and a cooling system, which directs ambient air toward the optical components. The cooling system includes a turbulent flow generator arranged in an intake duct. The turbulent flow generator includes a diagonal upstream surface that smoothly changes the direction of an air flow and generates a turbulent flow at the downstream side of the turbulent flow generator. Fine dust particles suspended in the turbulent flow adheres on a downstream surface of the turbulent flow generator and are removed from the air flow.
Abstract:
A liquid crystal projector device of the present invention includes three image generating units for generating image light of three primary colors. Each image generating unit has a polarizing plate and an optical compensating plate held by a combination frame and placed on a support base. The combination frame includes a polarizing plate frame for holding the polarizing plate, and a compensating plate frame for holding the optical compensating plate. The polarizing plate frame is supported on the support base via a rotation adjustment mechanism for rotating the polarizing plate about the optical axis, while the compensating plate frame is supported on the polarizing plate frame via an inclination adjustment mechanism for inclining the optical compensating plate by rotating the optical compensating plate about two axes perpendicular to the optical axis and perpendicular to each other.
Abstract:
A projection display device includes: a light modulator for modulating light from a light source; a polarizer disposed at a position facing the light modulator; a cooling section for allowing an air to flow in a space between the light modulator and the polarizer; and an air deflector for deflecting the air flowing in the space between the light modulator and the polarizer toward the polarizer.
Abstract:
A projector including light valves respectively corresponding to red light, green light, and blue light. A color combining prism (e.g., cross dichroic prism) combines modulated light emitted from the light valves. A projection lens enlarges and projects the combined light from the color combining prism. An aberration correction lens corrects a chromatic aberration of magnification of the projection lens. A pressing member resiliently presses and fixes the aberration correction lens to the color combining prism at a light entrance surface for at least one of the red, green, and blue light.
Abstract:
A projector device-of the present invention includes a light blocking mechanism for blocking leak light from a lamp unit. The light blocking mechanism includes a first light blocking member having a plurality of first light blocking plates arranged therein at certain pitches, and a second light blocking member having a plurality of second light blocking plates arranged therein at certain pitches. The first light blocking plates and the second light blocking plates each define a gap providing an air flow passage. A flat inclined part of each second light blocking plate extends in an inverted direction to a flat inclined part of each first light blocking plate, with a predetermined angle of inclination, so that the first light blocking plates and the second light blocking plates block the light emitted from the lamp unit toward a vent of a casing in all orientations.
Abstract:
A gas cutting machine for cutting a cast strand includes a torch and is movable downward together with a cut portion of the cast strand. In the neighborhood of the torch is located a movable hood which is movable in synchronism with vertical lifting operation of the gas cutting machine, and an expansible sludge discharge pipe and an expansible suction duct communicated with a suction blower are mounted on the movable hood. A divisional dummy bar is utilized and includes an upper and lower divisional dummy bar, and a connector for connecting the divisional dummy bars together. The connector comprises an upper member and a lower member, the upper member having in its inner cavity a pair of levers pivotally supported on lever shafts and the lever havign a locking roller at the lower end thereof. The lower member includes a hooking head held by a pair of locking rollers.
Abstract:
An LCD projector including liquid crystal light valves, a duct, and nozzles. Each liquid crystal light valve includes optical components. Cooling air flows through the duct to cool the optical components of each liquid crystal light valve. The nozzles are arranged in correspondence with the liquid crystal light valves and blow the cooling air from the duct toward the optical components of the corresponding liquid crystal light valves. At least one nozzle includes an inlet, which is in communication with the duct, and an outlet, from which the cooling air from the inlet is blown out. The outlet has a width in a direction orthogonal to an optical axis of light that is set so that a blowing range of the cooling air is selected for each optical component in the corresponding liquid crystal light valve.
Abstract:
A lamp holder that holds a lamp, which is a light source for displaying an image, in a lamp housing. The lamp holder includes an elastic portion, which is held between the lamp and an inner surface of the lamp housing, and a hooking portion, which is fitted into an opening extending through the lamp housing and hooked to an outer surface of the lamp housing.
Abstract:
A lamp unit includes a lamp holder that holds a lamp, which includes an arc tube, and a connector, which includes a cable connected to the lamp to supply power to the lamp. A wall member partitions a space formed between the lamp holder and the arc tube. The cable is arranged between the wall member and the lamp holder.
