摘要: The invention relates to a method for producing a metal strip (1) in a continuous casting and rolling process, in which a slab is first cast in a casting machine and is then fed to a finishing rolling mill situated downstream in the direction of feed (F) of the strip (1), where it is rolled. According to the invention, in order to enable the recycling of scrap while achieving a compact design, the following steps are performed in the event of a planned or unplanned production interruption in the finishing rolling mill: a) cutting through the strip (1) at a point (4) between the casting machine (2) and the finishing rolling mill by means of a cutting device (5); b) feeding the part of the strip (1) that follows the cut into a strip store (6) by means of a driver (7), the driver (7) being situated downstream of the cutting device (5) in the direction of feed (F); c) cutting through the strip (1) a second time by means of the cutting device (5) and cutting the following part of the strip (1) into pieces by means of the cutting device (5); d) cutting the stored strip section into pieces, preferably of a defined length. The invention further relates to an apparatus for carrying out the method.

摘要: Adhesive matter remaining at the end of a cuboid metal material is reliably removed in a relatively short time while suppressing the decrease in yield rate of the metal material. Distances of the upper surface and the lower surface of a cuboid metal material from a reference position are measured using a distance measurement device in the longitudinal direction of the slab including the longitudinal end of the slab. On the basis of the measurement results, the state of remaining of adhesive matter remaining on the upper and lower surfaces of the longitudinal end of the slab is comprehended. On the basis of the state of remaining of adhesive matter, the amount and position of cutting by a cutting tool is determined. Corner removing cutting is performed on the upper and lower surfaces of the longitudinal end of the slab using the cutting tool in accordance with the determined amount and position of cutting.

摘要: The present invention includes a method for casting a silicon ingot by using a continuous casting method by means of an electromagnetic induction, and a method for cutting the silicon ingot as a starting material into plural silicon blocks. When the silicon blocks with a square section are cut out, the sectional shape of the silicon ingot is set to be rectangular. Not less than 6 pieces of equal-sized silicon blocks are cut out from the silicon ingot, thereby enabling to enhance the manufacturing efficiency to a great extent. And since the amount of excision of the edge per silicon block is reduced, the production yield can be enhanced. Further, since the proportion of columnar crystals with large grain size inside the ingot can be increased, it becomes possible to enhance the conversion efficiency of a solar battery using the silicon block as a substrate material.
