    摘要: When a liquid crystal panel in which a liquid crystal is enclosed between two substrates is manufactured, a space is provided as an aperture when the liquid crystal is injected, and a sealant for bonding the two substrates is applied to one of the two substrates along a first path encompassing a first area in which the liquid crystal is enclosed, and a second path encompassing a second area facing the first area with the space interposed between the areas. The two substrates to one of which the sealant is applied are bonded. In the system according to the present invention, only the sealant applied along the second path is hardened first on the bonded two substrates. After hardening the sealant applied along the second path, a hole which is an aperture for forcibly removing a gas generated when the sealant of the first path is hardened is formed.

    摘要: The invention has an object to provide a liquid crystal composite capable of sufficiently reducing the scattering of light in a focal conic state, a liquid crystal display element excellent in improvements of a color balance and a contrast, and electronic paper using the same. The content of a chiral material is higher in a cholesteric liquid crystal LCg for G than in a cholesteric liquid crystal LCb for B, and is higher in a cholesteric liquid crystal LCr for R than in the cholesteric liquid crystal LCg for G. The cholesteric liquid crystal LCr for R is prepared by mixing about 5 wt % of a chiral material CHl1 of an L-form with a base liquid crystal of an R-form, which contains 27 wt % of CHr1 of the R-form exhibiting a liquid crystallizability for a nematic liquid crystal LCn, and 3 wt % of a chiral material CHr2 of the R-form exhibiting no crystallizability.

    摘要: A panel is formed by laminating a pair of substrates with each other. A first seal material is provided on one of the substrates and a second seal material is provided to completely surround the first seal material. The pair of substrates is laminated with each other in a state where a cell space is formed therebetween and the first and second seal materials are sandwiched between the substrates. An inner space of the second seal material containing the cell space is depressurized through an opening provided outside the first seal material and inside the second seal material. A portion where the second seal material is provided is removed so that the cell space formed by the first seal material remains.
