    摘要: Disclosed are a multi-domain liquid crystal display panel comprising an upper substrate and a lower substrate, wherein at least one of the substrates includes a glass substrate, a conventional alignment layer coated on the surface of the glass substrate, and a polymer alignment layer having a different alignment direction from that of the conventional alignment layer and a method for preparing the same. In the present invention, a smectic/cholesteric liquid crystal polymer is formed from the mixture of liquid crystal polymerizable monomers having smectic phase (Sm)-cholesteric phase (N*) transition, and multiple liquid crystal alignments in a single pixel are formed by adjusting the polymerization temperature, the thickness of the polymer layer, and the amount of the smectic liquid crystal polymerizable monomer, thereby realizing a multi-domain display by the subsequent masking treatment and ultraviolet irradiation. The method for preparing the same is simple, novel, low-cost, and easy to achieve.

    摘要: Manufacture a highly reliable image display device capable of proceeding with resin cure even in the case where a protective panel is provided with a light shielding portion. A liquid crystal display unit 2 having a liquid crystal display panel 8 and a light transmissive protective panel 3 having a light shielding portion 5 are disposed face to face, a resin composition 10 is interposed between the liquid crystal display unit and the protective panel, and the resin composition is cured into a cured resin layer 11. As the resin composition 10, a light-heat-curing resin composition and containing a photopolymerization initiator and organic peroxide of thermal polymerization initiator is used. In curing the resin composition 10, cure by light (ultraviolet rays) irradiation is performed until a cure ratio of the resin composition becomes 30% or more and thereafter thermal cure is performed.

    摘要: A liquid crystal panel including a first substrate, a second substrate, a liquid crystal layer disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate, a counter electrode, a pixel array structure, at least one alignment layer and at least one polymer layer is provided. The counter electrode is disposed between the liquid crystal layer and the first substrate. The pixel array structure is disposed between the liquid crystal layer and the second substrate. The alignment layer is disposed between the counter electrode and the liquid crystal layer and between the pixel array structure and the liquid crystal layer. The polymer layer is disposed between the alignment layer and the liquid crystal layer, and a material of the polymer layer includes polymer monomers and polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA). A content of PMMA in the polymer layer is greater than 1 ppm and smaller than 15000 ppm.
