摘要： A projection type image display apparatus projects, under magnification by using a projection lens, image information carried by a luminous flux emitted from a ferroelectric liquid crystal display device. A field-sequential color-decomposing illumination optical system generates illumination color light for irradiating the ferroelectric liquid crystal display device. An analyzer and a quarter wave plate are arranged between the ferroelectric liquid crystal display device and the projection lens successively from the ferroelectric liquid crystal display device side.

摘要： There are provided a metal soap which is useful as a food additive to be added to various foods for the purposes of improving a fluidity, an anti-bridging property, a low moisture absorption property and feel upon eating of foods, and has a less adverse influence on the foods, as well as a process for producing the metal soap. The metal soap for a food additive is constituted of a fatty acid calcium salt or a fatty acid magnesium salt having 6 to 24 carbon atoms which is obtained by a double decomposition method, and a water dispersion containing the metal soap in an amount of 2% by mass exhibits a pH of not less than 6 but less than 7. The process for producing the metal soap for a food additive includes the steps of reacting 1 mol of a fatty acid having 6 to 24 carbon atoms with not less than 0.9 mol but less than 1 mol of a monovalent basic compound to obtain a fatty acid basic compound salt; and reacting the fatty acid basic compound salt with a calcium salt or a magnesium salt in an aqueous medium.

By arranging at least one light directing means, such as a mirror or a reflecting prism, on an optical path between a light source and a light modulator, and by supporting the light directing means using a support that enables the orientation of the light directing means to be rotatably adjusted, the position of a light spot which illuminates the modulator is made to be adjustable in position, thereby enabling the intensity of the light spot on the modulator to be maximized while minimizing vignetting of the light spot by the modulator.

摘要： A slag storage tank and a slag discharge system include a main body that stores slag, and a plurality of filters that are arranged on a wall surface of the main body and cause a liquid to selectively pass therethrough. The filters are disposed in at least a part of any cross-section perpendicular to the vertical direction of a region where the slag is stored in the main body. 摘要： A first fixing plate 51, which is bonded to a G light prism 29 and which holds a G light DMD unit 50, is formed of a metal plate having a liner coefficient of expansion, which is substantially the same as that of the G light prism 29. The G light DMD unit 50 is fixed by inserting holding projections 51b into through holes 64 and inserting fixing holes 52a of a second fixing plate 52 into the holding projections 51b protruding through the through holes 64. The fixing holes 52a of the second fixing plate 52 have a shape similar to a section shape of the holding projections 51b taken along a plane perpendicular to the insertion direction. A gap between each holding projection 51b and the corresponding fixing hole 52a is uniform in an overall circumference. A thickness of the adhesive filled in this gap is uniform.

摘要： An integrator unit for integrating an incoming light beam for a uniform distribution of illumination comprises an inner cylinder fixedly equipped with a rod integrator, an outer cylinder in which the inner cylinder is coaxially received for axial movement and axial adjustment members which comprises a circumferential groove spatially squared to a center axis of the inner cylinder and a radial access bore formed in the outer cylinder. A round shaped position adjustment tool has an end pin on a round end face thereof in a position off center from an axis of rotation of the position adjusting tool. The position adjusting tool is inserted in the radial access bore to put the end pin in the circumferential groove and turned in the radial access bore so as thereby to move the inner cylinder axially back and forth.
