摘要： An image forming apparatus administration system is provided which includes an image forming apparatus, which is located in a first local network and connected to the Internet through a first firewall server, an administration computer, which is located in a second local network and connected to the Internet through a second firewall server, and a relaying server, which is located outside the first local network and the second local network and is connected to the Internet. The administration computer transmits information for administrating the image forming apparatus to the relaying server, and accesses the relaying server to obtain information corresponding to a state of the image forming apparatus. The image forming apparatus accesses the relaying server at a predetermined timing to obtain the information from the administrating computer, and transmits the information corresponding to the state of the image forming apparatus to the relaying server.

摘要： The image forming apparatus, for printing print data, and a printing control apparatus, for controlling a printing operation of the image forming apparatus, are connected through a network. In the printing control apparatus, there are provided an authentication means that authenticates a user of the image forming apparatus, a discriminating means that discriminates whether print data for which the printing is instructed by the authenticated user is for public business or for private business, a recording means that records information relating to printing of print data as private business information corresponding to the user when the print data are discriminated by the discriminating means to be for private business and a charging means that charges for private business printing of the user based on the private business information recorded on the recording means.

摘要： An image processing apparatus includes a photoelectric converter, a multiple-value circuit, and a detachable external storage unit. The photoelectric converter photoelectrically coverts data of an original into image signals. The multiple-value circuit converts the image signals into multiple-valued data by comparing the image signals with predetermined threshold value data. The detachable external storage stores the threshold value data. The threshold values can also be made automatically responsive to gray scale data. The automatic mode and the manual selection mode are switched between in response to a release (toggle) signal. Color separation and color ghost correction are provided; and various types of formatting management are faciliated. Partial color converting (as, for example, color reversal) is also provided.

An ice maker of a refrigerator includes an ice tray which is supplied with water, which is refrigerated by an evaporator so that ice is made, ice removing means for removing ice from the ice tray, water supply means for supplying water to the ice tray every time the ice is removed from the ice tray, a temperature sensor for sensing the temperature of the ice tray, and determination circuit means for comparing the temperature of the ice tray sensed by the temperature sensor with the predetermined reference value and determining that the water has not been supplied to the ice tray, where the temperature of the ice tray sensed by the temperature sensor is below the predetermined reference value.
