摘要: The present disclosure relates generally to a permanent magnet, brushless motor comprising a primary rotor having alternating magnetic poles around a circumference, a secondary rotor similar to the primary rotor. The primary rotor may be free to rotate by approximately plus or minus one pole of the secondary rotor. As such, when the two rotor components have opposite polarities aligned, the motor may be in a field weakened state. Generally, the field weakened state may be the normal state of the motor. As a significant load is encountered, the rotors may automatically transition to a non-weakened state wherein similar polarities are aligned on the rotors. A permanent magnet, brushless motor as described herein may be employed at a motor level or integrated into a linear actuator, wherein the rotor of the permanent magnet, brushless motor may include a hollow shaft.

In the preferred embodiment, the thrust member of the actuator is connected to the friction stir weld device within or adjacent to the friction stir weld device motor to advance and retract the friction stir weld deice along a linear axis concentric with the actuator and friction stir weld device motors.

摘要: The present disclosure relates generally to a permanent magnet, brushless motor comprising a primary rotor having alternating magnetic poles around a circumference, a secondary rotor similar to the primary rotor. The primary rotor may be free to rotate by approximately plus or minus one pole of the secondary rotor. 摘要: An automated external defibrillator (AED) and AED Monitoring system made up of an AED, the AED having a self-diagnostic subroutine and performing said subroutine at regular intervals, the AED having at least an audio indicator that indicates the results of the self-diagnostic when the diagnosis is that the AED is in need of maintenance and a remote AED monitoring system, the AED monitoring system having an electromagnetic coil, microphone, battery, microprocessor, and wireless communication device, wherein the microprocessor selectively powers up the AED monitoring system prior to the AED's self-diagnostic subroutine and utilizes the electromagnetic coil and microphone to monitor for the AED's audio indicator that the AED is in need of maintenance, and the microprocessor transmitting a wireless signal through the wireless communication device indicating whether the AED is in need of maintenance; the microprocessor selectively powering down the AED monitoring system after transmitting the wireless signal.

摘要: A precision servo control system for a pneumatic actuator has a piston positionable over a stroke of the pneumatic actuator using a supply of pressurized gas. A brake and a sensor system are connected to the actuator and to the servo control system. The servo control system operates to initiate the forward thrust from the pressurized gas to move the piston along the stroke. When a braking point along the stroke is determined, the servo control system initiates a reverse thrust from the pressurized gas while maintaining the forward thrust and simultaneously begins to selectively apply the brake to stop the piston within a predetermined tolerance of a desired stopping position.

摘要: A precision servo control system for a pneumatic actuator has a piston positionable over a stroke of the pneumatic actuator using a supply of pressurized gas. A brake and a sensor system are connected to the actuator and to the servo control system. The servo control system operates to initiate the forward thrust from the pressurized gas to move the piston along the stroke. When a braking point along the stroke is determined, the servo control system initiates a reverse thrust from the pressurized gas while maintaining the forward thrust and simultaneously begins to selectively apply the brake to stop the piston within a predetermined tolerance of a desired stopping position. The precision servo control system is easily programmable in a manner similar to that of a control system for electrical actuators. The precision servo control system can maintain the predetermined tolerance even under changing loads, long stroke lengths or vertically oriented stroke directions. The precision control servo system preferably utilizes simple directional valves, instead of complex and expensive servo valves, to regulate the pressurized gas. The precision servo control system achieves positional accuracy to a predetermined tolerance that is a fixed value, regardless of the stroke length.
