    摘要： A method for preferentially treating a subterranean formation having at least one primarily oil producing layer and at least one primarily water producing layer. The method involves the steps of providing a water shut-off gel into the formation to preferentially treat the water producing layers. This is followed by providing a viscoelastic fluid into the formation, where the viscoelastic fluid is broken by hydrocarbon, thereby remaining and viscosifying primarily in the water producing layers. Finally, a reactive fluid, such as an acid fluid, is provided. The reactive fluid treats primarily the oil producing layers because the viscoelastic fluid and the water shut-off gel prevent the reactive fluid from substantially entering the water producing layers.

    摘要： A delayed gelling system useful in conformance control in the production of petroleum from subterranean formations, especially low permeability formations, is disclosed. The gelling system comprises a basic silica sol, an activator comprising a hydroxyl donor, and an optional syneresis inhibitor. In the disclosed method of using the gelling system, the gelling system may be pumped into formations with excessive water and/or gas production and thermally activated in the formation at downhole conditions to form a hard gel to reduce water and/or gas production.

    摘要： A composition for treatment of a subterranean formation, which may be used for water control, is comprised of at least one of 1) a premix of an oleochemical polyol, at least one of polyisocyanate, polycyanate and polyisothiocyanate, and a blocking agent to temporarily block all or a portion of free reactive groups of said at least one of polyisocyanate, polycyanate and polyisothiocyanate. Alternatively, or in addition, the composition may be comprised of a solvent and 2) a polyurethane prepolymer formed by reacting an oleochemical polyol and at least one of polyisocyanate, polycyanate and polyisothiocyanate. A blocking agent may also be used with the polyurethane prepolymer. The composition may be used in a method of treating a subterranean formation penetrated by a wellbore by introducing the composition into the formation through the wellbore. In another embodiment, a method of treating a subterranean formation penetrated by a wellbore is carried out by forming a treatment fluid containing at least one of 1) palmitic acid or its derivatives and 2) palm oil and at least one of an hydrolyzing or oxidizing agent to facilitate formation of palmitic acid or its derivatives. The treatment fluid also includes a source of a monovalent ions. The treatment fluid is introduced into the wellbore for treatment of the subterranean formation.

The gelling system may be pumped into formations with excessive water production and thermally activated in the formation at downhole conditions to form a co-gel of polyacrylamide interspersed in an inorganic gel network to reduce water production.
