摘要： An inkjet image forming apparatus which is provided with a line engine in which one or more recording heads are aligned in a main scanning direction and which has replacably configured an arbitrary one of the recording heads is disclosed. In the inkjet image forming apparatus, each of the recording heads includes a head tank mounted on the recording head, the head tank including a supply port and a discharge port for ink, the head tanks which are adjacent are mutually connected by a path in which the discharge port and supply port of the respective head tanks are coupled via a coupling unit, a path from the discharge port and a path to the supply port differ in an inner path diameter over the coupling unit, and the inner path diameter on the discharge port side is larger than the inner path diameter on the supply port side.

摘要： An image scanner includes a single contact glass placed on a main body. The contact glass has a first range through which a first original document is passed to be scanned, and a second range over which a second original document is placed to be scanned. An image sensor scans the first original document at a fixed position in the first range, and the image sensor scans the second original document while the image sensor moves through the second range. An automatic document feeder is arranged on the first range of the contact glass to introduce the first original document through an introducing path to the fixed position and to eject the first original document through an ejecting path from the fixed position. The introducing path is formed from an introducing orifice to the fixed position, the introducing orifice being located at a side of the second range of the automatic document feeder. Further, an ejecting path is formed from the fixed position to an ejecting orifice.

摘要： A xerographic image recording apparatus includes a photosensitive body moved along a circuitous path, an electric discharging unit for eliminating electric charges from the photosensitive body, a precharging unit for charging the photosensitive body electrically, an image writing unit for writing an image on the photosensitive body, an image developing unit for coating the photosensitive body by the toner to form a toner image on the photosensitive body, a recording sheet feeding unit for feeding a recording sheet along a sheet path, an image transfer unit for transferring the toner image onto a recording sheet, a cleaning unit for removing the toner remaining on the photosensitive body after the transfer of image on the recording sheet is completed, a toner supply tank for supplying the toner to the image developing unit, and a toner recovery tank for collecting the toner removed by the cleaning unit from the photosensitive body, wherein the toner supply tank and the toner recovery tank are assembled into a unitary body to form a detachable magazine.
