    摘要: A conveyance device includes a linear encoder that outputs an encoder signal corresponding to displacement of a conveyed object. The encoder includes an encoder fence provided on an intersecting plane that intersects a reference plane orthogonal to a direction in which a guide element supports the conveyed object. The encoder fence is configured such that a plurality of light-transmitting portions and light-shielding portions are arranged alternately on a side of the encoder fence. The light-transmitting portions and the light-shielding portions are formed so that a first point on each boundary between each of the light-transmitting portions and each of the light-shielding portions adjacent to each other and a second point on the each boundary, which is positioned separately from the first point with respect to a direction along the side of the encoder fence and perpendicular to the conveying direction, are separately positioned with respect to the conveying direction.

The control unit controls the image forming mechanism to form the image corresponding to the job registered through the registration unit on the recording sheet by rotating the motor at the rotation speed set by the setting unit.

    摘要: An electronic device includes a carriage conveyance unit, a sheet conveyance unit, a failure detection unit, a position detection unit, and a jam determination unit. The carriage conveyance unit includes a motor and conveys a carriage in a main scanning direction by a driving force of the motor. The sheet conveyance unit conveys a sheet in a sub-scanning direction which crosses the main scanning direction in which the carriage is conveyed. The failure detection unit detects a conveyance failure of the carriage. The position detection unit detects a position of the carriage in the main scanning direction. The jam determination unit determines whether or not the conveyance failure is due to jamming caused by interference between the carriage and the sheet, based on the position of the carriage detected by the position detection unit at a time when the conveyance failure is detected by the failure detection unit.

The activating section is disposed in a position close to a developer holding member and lower than a position where development agent is transferred onto the developer holding member. The activating section is supplied with an activating voltage for making the development agent leave a developer transfer path and drop into the developer storage section during an activating process performed at an initial stage of a developer transferring operation while supplied with the transfer bias voltage after the activating process. The always-transferring section is disposed across a position facing the developer storage section to a position lower than and adjacent to the activating section, and always supplied with a transfer bias voltage during the developer transferring operation.

The fixing belt is nipped between the nip plate and the rotating member. The stay comprises a first receiving portion and a second receiving portion which are positioned upstream and downstream of the heat generating member, respectively, in a conveying direction of the recording sheet and are configured to receive a force exerted from the rotating member to the nip member. The heat insulator is disposed between the nip member and one of the first receiving portion and the second receiving portion of the stay.
