摘要： A view finder unit removably mounted on a single lens reflex camera body to enable the in-focus state of a picture-taking lens to be observed, the camera body having an opening portion provided to direct an imaging light beam projected by the picture-taking lens to the outside of the camera body, includes a housing removably mounted on the camera body and having an opening portion for directing the imaging light beam into the housing, said opening portion being coincident with the opening portion of the camera body, an optical system disposed in the housing to enable a first image formed by the imaging light beam to be observed through the opening portion of the housing, imaging means disposed in the housing for forming a second image substantially equivalent to the first image, in-focus detecting means including photoelectric detecting means disposed in the housing adjacent to the focal plane of the imaging means and producing an electrical signal representing the state of the second image in the focal plane, display means disposed in the housing and driven by the electrical signal of the in-focus detecting means to observably display the in-focus state of the picture-taking lens, and a battery chamber disposed in the housing for containing therein batteries which supply electrical energy to the in-focus detecting means and the display means.

摘要： An interchangeable finder device of a single lens reflex camera has a finder optical system in which a focusing screen, a pentaprism and an eyepiece are fixed in a predetermined positional relation, a casing containing the optical system therein, and a mounting-dismounting device provided on the casing to mount the casing to the camera body. The finder device further has a sliding mechanism for supporting the finder optical system slidably in a direction perpendicular to the focus surface of the focusing screen relative to the mounting-dismounting mechanism so that the finder optical system can move in said perpendicular direction independently of the mounting-dismounting device when the casing is mounted to the camera body by means of the mounting-dismounting device.

摘要： A camera includes a camera body and a regulation component mounted directly to the camera body with flatness of the film desired for photography being maintained by rail surfaces and a regulation surface. The dimensions of the camera body, the regulation component and the dimension allowances of the camera body and the film regulation component have a relationship that forms a space smaller than the thickness of the photographic film when the regulation component mounting surface and the camera body mounting surface of the regulation component are in contact, allowing the regulation component to be mounted directly to the camera body while the regulation surface of the regulation-component and the outer rail surface of the camera body maintain flatness. Alternatively, deformation units may be used to deform plastically or elastically with the tightening of an anchoring unit, which directly anchors the regulation component to the camera body to maintain flatness of the outer surfaces of the camera body and the regulation surfaces of the regulation component. The camera body and the regulation component may be made of the same material or materials with the same or nearly the same coefficients of thermal expansion so that when temperature changes occur involving the camera, the amount of thermal deformation of both the camera body and the regulation component is the same to assist in maintaining the flatness of the film regulation surfaces.

摘要： A camera which releases the shutter based on the wink of a photographer when vibrations are affecting the camera. The camera includes a wink detection device which detects a wink of the photographer and produces a corresponding wink detection output signal, and a vibration detection device which detects vibrations affecting the camera and produces a corresponding vibration detection signal. A control mechanism is responsive to the wink detection output signal and the vibration detection signal to control the release of the shutter. The wink detection device operates by emitting a visible light signal towards the photographer's eye, reflecting the signal off the photographer's eye, and then receiving the reflected signal. A wink of the photographer is detected based on the amount of reflected light received by the light receiving device. The wink detection device includes an LED which emits the signal. The LED can also operate as an indicator in the viewfinder to notify the photographer that the shutter will be released upon a wink. A cover member can be arranged between the camera and the face of the photographer to protect the wink detection device and the photographer's eye from being exposed to dust and particles, thereby preventing unintended blinking or inaccurate detection of a wink.
