Abstract:
A boiling refrigerant type cooling system to suppress overshoot upon start of heat generation and realize stable start of boiling. In the boiling refrigerant type cooling system, a metal boiling heat transfer unit has a base in thermal contact with a heat generating body. The boiling heat transfer unit is in contact with a liquid refrigerant. The boiling heat transfer unit has plural parallel tunnels communicating with the outside via holes or gaps under its surface, a groove deeper than a tunnel diameter formed through all the tunnels in an orthogonal direction to the tunnels, and a cover plate on the groove.

A camera capable of conducting a wireless communication includes a wireless communication circuit and a wireless communication antenna. The wireless communication antenna, which is disposed at a non-metal movable member that can advance and retreat relative to a camera body, moves relative to the camera body.

A camera includes a photo-taking lens, an automatic focus adjusting device for effecting the automatic focus adjustment of the photo-taking lens, an eye-gaze detecting device for detecting the photographer's eye-gaze position in a finder field corresponding to a photographing picture plane, and producing an eye-gaze detection signal corresponding to the eye-gaze position, a focus adjustment signal producing device for outputting a plurality of focus adjustment signals corresponding to a plurality of detection areas in the photographing picture plane, and a control signal producing device for producing a control signal for controlling the automatic focus adjusting means, on the basis of the eye-gaze detection signal and the focus adjustment signals. The control signal producing device produces the control signal on the basis of the plurality of focus adjustment signals corresponding to the plurality of detection areas when the eye-gaze position indicated by the eye-gaze detection signal is at a position between the plurality of detection areas.
Abstract:
A camera having a sight line detecting device is provided with an illumination unit for detecting the corneal reflected image of the eye of the photographer, and an illumination unit equipped with plural light sources positioned around an eyepiece lens, for detecting the position of the center of the pupil. The latter illumination unit, for detecting the position of the center of the pupil, is so controlled that a light source positioned below or at the side of the eye of the photographer is turned on regardless of the change in the camera attitude, whereby the illuminating light is not intercepted by the eyelid or eyelashes and the position of the pupil center can be precisely detected.
Abstract:
A focus correcting apparatus for an auto focus camera having non-TTL type distance measuring means has first memory means for memorizing the amount of deviation of an imaging point from the surface of film caused by the irregularity during lens assembly or the irregularity of the dimensions of lens parts or the refractive indices of lens materials, calculating means for calculating the amount of correction movement of a focusing lens group from the memorized value in the first memory means and the amount of movement of the imaging point per unit amount of movement of the focusing lens group, and lens driving means for driving the focusing lens group on the basis of the final amount of movement consisting of the amount of movement of the focusing lens group calculated from a measured distance value obtained by the non-TTL type distance measuring means, plus the amount of correction movement of the focusing lens group found by the calculation.
Abstract:
A camera with a device for detecting the line of sight is provided with a first light source for detecting the corneal reflected image of the eye and a second light source for detecting the boundary between the pupil and the iris or between the iris and the white of the eye, thereby effecting illuminations for these purposes with optimum illumination intensities. Thus the position of the Purkinje's first image and the central position of the pupil can be detected efficiently, and the direction of the line of sight can be accurately calculated.

Abstract:
An automatic focusing camera comprises a measuring device formed integrally with a camera housing, defining a distance measuring zone selectively extended in different directions, and adapted for producing information employed for focusing to an object contained in the extended distance measuring zone. A position detecting device for detecting the position of the camera housing, and a device for varying the extending direction of the distance measuring zone, in response to the position of the camera housing detected by the position detecting device.
Abstract:
The cooling system includes: a frame; a plurality of electronic devices disposed in the frame and operating or functioning independently from each other; fans disposed in the frame and supplying cooling air to the electronic devices; a temperature acquiring portion for acquiring the temperature of the cooling air; an air-flow resistance adjusting portion for adjusting the air-flow resistance to the cooling air; and a controller for controlling the fans and the each air-flow resistance adjusting portion. The controller determines each target cooling air volume required for cooling each electronic device to a predetermined temperature based on temperature information acquired by the temperature acquiring portion and heat generation information on each electronic device, controls each air-flow resistance adjusting portion to set the volume of cooling air to each target cooling air volume, and performs the drive control of the fans to set the volume of cooling air to the minimum necessary.
