摘要： An image production apparatus includes at least one image production unit having a latent image forming device for forming a latent image on an image carrying member and a developing device for attaching toner to the latent image formed by the latent image forming device. A toner image formed by the image production unit is transferred to a transfer medium to produce an image. The image production apparatus further includes a periodicity giving device for giving periodicity to movement in a main scanning direction of the image carrying member or transfer medium. According to this periodicity, the movement time from an image forming position to a transfer position, or the movement time of a transfer medium between adjacent transfer positions is set equal to an integral multiple of the period.

When the endless belt feed path is divided into a path from a drive roller to a tension roller, and a path from the tension roller to the drive roller, the eccentricity of an idle roller located on the path on the side including a latent image forming point is set to a value smaller than that of an idle roller located on the path not including the image forming point.

摘要： In an image forming apparatus, attachment/detachment guide pins (10 and 11) are disposed on a side face of a belt cartridge (12). Attachment/detachment guide grooves (30, 31, and 32) which guide the attachment/detachment guide pins (10 and 11) are disposed in a frame (29) of a main unit of an image forming apparatus. A belt tension applying mechanism including a tension link (13) and a spring (15) is disposed on the side of the apparatus main unit. When the belt cartridge (12) is to be attached to the apparatus main unit, the cartridge is attached along the attachment/detachment guide grooves (30, 31, and 32), so that the rotation shaft of a tension roller (4) is easily and surely engaged with the belt tension applying mechanism (13 and 15).

In order to prevent possible color misregistration caused by changes in paper feed path length resulting from the eccentricity of each drive roller, the difference in the eccentric phases of the rollers on the front and back surfaces is controlled, thereby minimizing the difference in changes in paper feed path length.

摘要： An optical switch for switching an optical path of an input optical signal comprises a substrate composed of a silica glass substrate, a separation layer formed on the silica glass substrate, a plurality of cantilever beams and formed in parallel to one another on the separation layer and connected at their tip ends to a connection member, at least one silica glass optical waveguide core formed on the cantilever beams, a plurality of optical waveguide fixed in opposition to the silica glass optical waveguide core, a cover for covering the cantilever beams, and a switch drive unit for bending the cantilever beams. The switch drive unit comprises electromagnetic actuators, which comprise soft magnetic bodies formed on the connection member for the cantilever beams and on the substrate, soft magnetic yokes formed of a soft magnetic body, permanent magnets, and wire coils.
