    Abstract: A digital MFP carries out an authentication of an operator by a user ID and a password prior to usage of the digital MFP. The digital MFP requests from the operator an instruction as to whether or not to store the successfully authenticated user ID and password in a flash memory along with a generated abbreviated code.
