    摘要: A thermal transfer printer has a platen and a thermal head between which are pinched a transfer paper sheet and an ink film, so that the ink is transferred from the ink film to the transfer paper sheet as heat is applied to the transfer paper sheet by the thermal head. The film is supplied by a supply roll and is taken-up by a take-up roll. The thermal head is swingable between a position where it contracts the platen and a position away from the platen. When the thermal head is in the position away from the platen, the distance therebetween is greater than the maximum diameter of the supply roll. A film drum can hold a plurality of films each being constituted by the supply roll and the take-up roll. Swing arms are provided for demounting the supply roll of a selected film from the film drum and for bringing the same to a position away from the film drum, and also for returning the same from this position to the film drum. During the movement of the supply roll between the position in the film drum and the position away from this position, the thermal head is moved away from the platen so as not to hinder the movement of the supply roll.

    摘要: A thermal printer including a thermal printer and a thermal head wherein a clearance between the platen and the thermal head is not less than a maximum diameter of one roll of an ink filled ribbon set by a thermal head driving motor. A ribbon cassette is moved to a printing position and, after a printing operation has been completed to another ribbon cassette. A guiding arrangement for positioning the ribbon cassettes in predetermined positions is adapted to be rotatably driven by a ribbon cassette motor and a plate for supplying the ribbon cassette and receiving the ribbon cassetts. The plate is joined to a take-up end portion of the ribbon cassette and the guiding arrangement is adapted to be moved in the forward and rearward direction for supplying the ribbon cassette and receiving the ribbon cassette by a transfer belt which can be moved by a cassette-moving motor. The guiding arrangement is adapted to be changed by withdrawing from the ink ribbon to another ink ribbon by a fixing member which is adapted to be moved by a ribbon cassette motor. A plurality of ribbon cassettes can be selectively used so that an unnecessary feeding of the ink ribbon can be avoided.

    摘要: A data printing system has a controller which controls the printing of jobs from at least one input unit by a printer. When the controller receives a plurality of jobs, it establishes a sequential order of transmission and generates a display signal indicating the times at which the respective jobs will be printed. That display signal may then generate a display at the input unit(s) or at a display associated with the controller itself. In this way, users are given information about the times of printing. The sequence of printing of the jobs may be established on the basis of a priority associated with the jobs themselves and/or on the amount of material currently available for printing by the printer and/or on the maximum capacity of printed paper. Display may be associated with that amount and/or capacity.

    摘要: Code data is converted to an intermediate code data, the intermediate code data is stored in an intermediate code buffer memory, the intermediate code data is converted to picture element data, the picture element data is stored in a page buffer memory and the picture element data is transmitted to a page printer. After the code data is stored in the intermediate code buffer memory, control code data indicating one page part finishing is received in the intermediate code buffer memory buffer, and the printing process preparation signal is outputted to the page printer. When code data is converted to intermediate code data, a format of the code data is judged, to determine whether a conversion processing from the intermediate code data to the picture element data, corresponding to the code data, requires a processing time which extends beyond a predetermined time limit and if such is true the intermediate code data corresponding to the code data is immediately converted to picture element data and stored in the page buffer memory. A high speed processing time can be obtained. A lifetime decrease in the page printer can be restrained effectively. An improved image output system having a high accuracy and a high reliability can be obtained.

The service group, which includes a group of authentication server URLs locating authentication servers that authenticate with an identical authentication information, is related to the login information. The adequacy determination unit relates the login information to an adequacy level depending on a result of the comparison. The entry auxiliary unit assists input of authentication information into the web page based on the login information and the adequacy level.
