The inlet coolant channel includes a longitudinal axis that is not axially aligned with either a first longitudinal axis of the first outlet coolant channel or a second longitudinal axis of the second outlet coolant channel. A rotary cutting tool incorporating the replaceable cutting insert is also provided. A method of making a replaceable cutting insert is also provided.

    摘要: A reamer includes a shank portion extending from a rear end and a cutting portion extending from the shank portion to a front end. The cutting portion includes a plurality of cutting teeth separated by gashes. Each cutting tooth having a cutting edge extending in a longitudinal direction from the front end to proximate the shank portion. The cutting portion includes a margin trailing each cutting edge and extends along each cutting edge to proximate the shank portion. Each cutting tooth also has a primary relief formed between the cutting edge and the front end and a secondary relief extending longitudinally between the margin of one cutting tooth to the cutting edge of an adjacent cutting tooth. A width, W, of each cutting tooth increases in a radially outward direction with respect to the central, longitudinal axis when viewed from the front end of the reamer.

    摘要: A coupling point for a modular rotary which extends in an axial direction. The coupling point includes a first coupling part disposed on a tool head and a second coupling part disposed on a carrier. The coupling parts can be coupled to one another by bidirectional rotation with the formation of an interference fit which acts in the radial direction. Each coupling part includes two coupling faces which lie opposite one another and have contact regions in which the interference fit is formed. In the first coupling part, at least one of the coupling faces has at least two contact regions which are spaced apart from one another in the circumferential direction, and, to this end, at least one first clearance portion is formed between the contact regions, in which clearance portion the two coupling parts do not bear against one another in the coupled state.
