摘要: A table bender controller employing a computerized display screen with the computer therefor being programmed to take keyed-in entry of customer provided bar shape specifications, whether entered by the machine operator at the machine location or from corresponding specification input data downloaded from a remote location input terminal, which specifications are in terms of a finished dimension of the bent bar profile along with the diameter of the bar to be bent and the bend degrees and directions of bend to produce the required shape, all of which either after key-in or downloading is called up in graphical display on the screen in a visual profile corresponding to that to be bent with appropriate machine and bar set instructions for producing such shape, including bending sequence, dimensions, gage marks, pin sizes and ram location for each of the component bends in the sequence.

摘要: A straight rod stock processor and method for use thereof which incorporates the employment of a rod stock loader to effect automatic shakeout of a piece of straight rod stock in pulling the same from a pre-load bundle of infeed stock and delivery to a set of secondary rod stock compression rollers interposed between the rod stock loader and a stirrup bender just forward of the stirrup bender head on the infeed side thereof so that essentially the entire length of an infed rod stock piece may be thereby positioned and controlled in delivery to the stirrup bender head for processing thus substantially reducing labor and waste and handling costs per ton which are otherwise normally associated with the processing of straight rod stock lengths through a stirrup bender.

摘要: An optimizing controller for a straight rod stock processing stirrup bender which provides a production method enabling a combination of bent rod stock profiles in multiple counts to be delivered from each individual infed straight rod stock bar, whereby bent rod stock piece output is optimized through such an output combination so as to most efficiently utilize the available stock from each such infed straight rod stock bar and thereby to consistently minimize the tail piece wastage consistent with the stirrup bender tail piece handling capabilities, also thereby substantially reducing labor and waste and handling costs per ton which are otherwise normally associated with the processing of straight rod stock lengths through a stirrup bender.

摘要: A separable roller sleeve, and methods of making and installing the same, to be provided as original equipment or alternately provide either a roller conveyor retrofit or replacement roller sleeve installation capability for both powered and idler rollers on the input and output sides of a typical roll conveying machine generally of that type employed in a shear line to accomplish movement of reinforcing rods to and from a cutting station, where the separable roller sleeve is fabricated either in the form of or from a section of resilient thick walled tubular material having an inside diameter slightly larger than that of the outside diameter of the roller to which it is to be installed and cut to the roller length, which tubular material member is then converted to a separable roller sleeve by providing therethrough a longitudinally extending compression closing spiral wall separation from one end thereof to the other whereby the spirally separable roller sleeve thus formed may then be twistably opened manually and thereby oriented and enclosably installed upon the bare conveyor roller to be covered, and upon manual release being retained upon the roller in protective operational disposition by the tubular member material memory return of the longitudinally extending spiral separation therein to a compression closing, thereby providing a protective roller sleeve in an installed operational disposition upon a conveyor roller without having to either remove or cut and replace the roller to accomplish the installation.
