    摘要: Methods of attaching a wire to a dentition. The methods may include placing a shell on the dentition, where first cavity of the shell includes an attachment material reservoir for receiving an attachment material, and second cavity of the shell includes a wire attachment member having a slot for receiving the wire. The methods may also include placing the wire through the attachment material reservoir and through the slot of the wire attachment member to hold the wire in position with respect to a tooth within the first cavity. The methods may further include placing the attachment material within the attachment material reservoir to bond the attachment material and the wire to the tooth. Once the shell and the wire attachment member are removed from the dentition, the wire remains attached to the tooth via the attachment material.

    摘要: A needle bender for custom bending of needles to different desired needle bend radii is provided. The needle bender can include abase and a shaper coupled to the base through a support member. The shaper may have a plurality of grooves corresponding to different desired needle bend radii. A leverage arm with a needle slide disposed on one end may be rotatably coupled to the support arm. When a needle is inserted along the base into one of the grooves in the shaper and at least partially into the needle slide, the leverage arm can be actuated toward the base to thereby bend the needle to the desired needle bend radius. The needle bender may also include a lock plate between the base and the shaper that can be actuated toward the shaper to further secure the needle to the shaper.

    摘要: An electrical connector assembling machine includes a connector strip feed unit including a connector strip feeding device configured to index a connector strip through a feed track in successive feed strokes and a contact loading assembly to load contacts in the connector strip. The electrical connector assembling machine includes a contact bending assembly positioned downstream of the contact loading assembly. The contact bending assembly includes a roller and a bending actuator holding the roller. The bending actuator moves the roller in an actuation direction to engage and bend ends of the contacts. The roller rolling along the contacts to bend the ends of the contacts.

    摘要: A device for bending wire includes a first plate with upper and lower surfaces and a center aperture extending therebetween. A cavity is formed in the upper surface that includes opposing sidewalls with a separation that decreases as they extend towards the center aperture and decreases as they extend up from a bottom surface of the cavity. A pin assembly disposed in the cavity includes a second plate having a pin extending from a top surface and having opposing side surfaces with a separation that decreases as they extend towards the center aperture and decreases as they extend up toward the top surface. A shaft extends through the center aperture and terminates in a bend head having a wire aperture and first and second bend surfaces adjacent the wire aperture. A first motor is configured to rotate the first plate about the shaft in opposing first and second rotational directions.
