Abstract: In order to reduce a vehicle height adjustment time period without unnecessarily narrowing a vehicle height adjustment range, a control unit adjusts the vehicle height of a vehicle by controlling supply and discharge of air to/from air springs each disposed between a side member and an under member. When the side member is at a vehicle height lowest position, a stopper of the side member comes into contact with a stopper receiving portion of the under member. When the side member is at the vehicle height lowest position while the control unit is set to a memory mode, an adjustment range setting section of the control unit sets a vehicle height lower limit by adding a lower limit setting predetermined value to a vehicle height measured value outputted from height sensors. The control unit does not lower the side member below the vehicle height lower limit during vehicle height adjustment.

Abstract: In order to start vehicle height adjustment control even when an air suspension air tank is empty or sufficient air is not left therein, a vehicle height adjustment system includes a compressor which produces compressed air, a magnetic valve which controls air supply and discharge to/from air springs, a control unit which controls a valve opening/closing operation of the magnetic valve, an air passage which connects between the compressor and the magnetic valve through a main air tank bypassing the air suspension air tank, and an air suspension control pressure switch which detects an internal pressure value of the air passage. The control unit controls start and stop of air supply, namely, start and stop of vehicle height adjustment control at the magnetic valve, based on the internal pressure value detected by the air suspension control pressure switch.

Abstract: In order to prevent a vehicle from running with an inappropriate vehicle height, a vehicle height restoring speed controller determines whether the vehicle is starting or not. When the vehicle is starting, the vehicle height restoring speed controller switches a restoring speed of the vehicle height to a restoring speed for a vehicle's stopped state and not for a vehicle's running state, and provides control so that the vehicle height is swiftly adjusted to a reference vehicle height. This prevents the sustained inappropriate vehicle height, and thereby prevents the resulting hindrance to vehicle running.
