摘要: A vehicle includes a suspension system having a first damper, a second damper, and a controller. The dampers include housings and pistons sealingly interfaced with an inner diameter of the housing, dividing the damper into a first and second chamber. The suspension system includes proportional variable relief valves which control pressure of fluid entering or exiting one of the first and second chamber of one of the first and second damper. The controller controls the valves to control extension or compression of the first damper and extension or compression of the second damper based on a degree of roll of the vehicle during a turn of the vehicle or a degree of pitch of the vehicle during acceleration or deceleration of the vehicle. The first and second damper control a roll and pitch of the vehicle. The valves control a damping rate of one of the first and second damper.

摘要: In a method for controlling an active chassis of a vehicle, an obstacle is identified on a travel route located in front of a wheel of a front axle. A spring-shock absorber force of the spring-shock absorber system of the corresponding wheel is adjusted depending on the geometry of the obstacle such that the vehicle body experiences the lowest possible vertical acceleration when driving over the obstacle. Data from the front axle driving over the obstacle is then evaluated and adjustments are made for balancing the rear axle as it drives over the obstacle. When the rear axle drives over the obstacle, adjustments are made to at least one wheel of the rear axle, taking into account the adjustments due to the front axle driving over the obstacle, such that the vehicle body does not experience any vertical acceleration when the rear axle drives over the obstacle.

The controller is configured to (i) control the plurality of actuators to selectively reposition each of the plurality of tractive elements through a range of motion to attempt to maintain the chassis level and (ii) drive each of the plurality of actuators toward a mid-stroke position while continuing to attempt to maintain the chassis level and while the vehicle is moving.

摘要: An apparatus includes a generator and a control unit. The generator generates a vertical controlling force between a vehicle body and one wheel for damping a vehicle sprung mass vibration. The control unit changes the controlling force by controlling the generator based on an unsprung mass state quantity at an estimated passage position of the wheel at time after a predetermined time from current time; when a condition that a sprung mass of a sampling vehicle is highly likely to be resonating when the sampling vehicle passes through the estimated passage position is satisfied, compute a target controlling force based on a value less than the unsprung mass state quantity acquired by the sampling vehicle at the estimated passage position; and, at the time at which the wheel passes through the estimated passage position, control the generator such that a controlling force is equal to the target controlling force.

摘要: A stabilizer bar assembly for a suspension system of a vehicle. The stabilizer bar assembly includes a first bar configured to be coupled to the vehicle suspension system proximate to a first wheel. A second bar is adjacent to the first bar. A coupling assembly is at an interface between the first bar and the second bar. The coupling assembly includes a magnetorheological material in contact with both the first bar and the second bar. The magnetorheological material is configured to transform from a fluid state to a viscoelastic solid state when subject to a magnetic field. A magnet is configured to apply the magnetic field to the magnetorheological material. In the viscoelastic solid state, the magnetorheological material resists relative movement between the first bar and the second bar.

摘要: The invention relates to a method for controlling a flow from a source of pressurized air to an air bag of a pneumatic suspension arrangement in a vehicle. The method comprises obtaining a set of vehicle condition signals comprising at least two vehicle condition signals, each vehicle condition signal being indicative of an individual current condition associated with said vehicle. The method further comprises, on the basis of said set of vehicle condition signals, determining whether or not there is a need to supply the air bag with air from the source of pressurized air. The method further comprises, in response to determining that there is not a need to supply the air bag with air from the source of pressurized air, preventing pressurized air to be fed from said source of pressurized air to said air bag.

摘要: A method of optimizing a suspension system to avoid pitch resonance may include determining pitch characteristics of a vehicle for a terrain profile and speed range via a model associated with the vehicle, decoupling front and rear axles by removing pitch inertia from the model, and determining optimized damping for a main damper of a position sensitive damper over a linear range of wheel travel in a bounce control zone based on the pitch characteristics. The method may further include recoupling the front and rear axles by adding the pitch inertia back into the model, and selecting a secondary damper associated with a compression zone or a secondary damper associated with a rebound zone as a selected damper for adjustment based on which of the front and rear axles is limiting. The method may also include performing a damping adjustment to the selected damper and cyclically repeating selecting the secondary damper and performing the damping adjustment until pitch resonance is suppressed.

摘要: Some embodiments may provide a method for a desired operating environment. A signal to place a vehicle in a designated mode corresponding to a desired operating environment may be received. The designated mode may include modifications to one or more default operating characteristics of the vehicle. The modifications may be while the vehicle is in parked mode and a vehicle access key associated with the vehicle is within proximity of the vehicle. In response to receiving the signal, characteristics of the vehicle to be modified in order to create the desired operating environment may be identified. The default operating characteristics may relate to power-consuming features or available power for connected accessories. One or more settings of the vehicle to change the default operating characteristics of the vehicle while in the designated mode may be modified.
