摘要: Disclosed is a seat belt forwarding system having a rotary arm carrying an end of a seat belt at its free end. The rotary arm is driven by a tension cable by way of a rotary unit having three transmitting members which are coaxially arranged and supported in a freely rotatable manner. By advantageous arrangement of the transmitting members, even when motion of the rotary arm is obstructed, spring means advantageously absorb the resultant force and no excessive force will be produced in the rotary unit. The first spring means biases the second transmitting member in a rearward direction while the second spring means is engaged between the second and the third transmitting members. The transmitting of force between the transmitting members is achieved by projections provided in the opposing surfaces of the transmitting members, in addition to the transmission of force between the second and the third transmitting members by the second spring means.

摘要: A seat belt tightening device for removing slack in a seat belt when the seat belt is required to positively restrain a passenger, comprising clamp members for clamping a part of the seat belt paid out from a retractor device; a winding member for winding thereonto a portion of the seat belt that is located ahead of the part clamped by the clamp means by a rotary motion; and a drive source for causing a rotational motion of the winding member. The winding member may be either integral with one of the clamp members or separate from both of them. Since the slack of the seat belt is removed simultaneously as the seat belt is clamped, the passenger is effectively restrained in case of a vehicle collision without being thrown forward due to any slack in the seat belt, and since the seat belt is allowed to pass through the tightening device without being obstructed under normal conditions the comfort of the passenger is assured by the action of the retractor which is typically provided in conjunction with the seat belt tightening device.

摘要: A seat belt device provided with a reach arm having a fore end to which a free end of a seat belt is tied, which reach arm is at a rearward withdrawn position when the seat belt is not in use whereas it is swung, when the seat belt is in use, to be projected forwardly to enable wearing of the seat belt. The reach arm assumes a compact form with an intermediate portion thereof folded in a non-used position whereas it assumes a straight state in use. A belt connecting hole provided at the fore end of the reach arm is shaped so as to hold the seat belt on a longitudinal extension of the reach arm when the reach arm is at an operative position. The reach arm is further designed foldable in a direction substantially perpendicular to its swinging direction when applied with a great shock at the operative position thereof.

摘要: A deceleration sensor for detection for deceleration greater than a certain threshold level, comprising: a firing pin; a sensor mass which is guided for motion along a first direction in a casing and is urged by a first spring member along the first direction so as to oppose an inertia force that will be applied to the sensor mass as it experiences deceleration which is to be detected; a trigger arm which is pivoted at its base end and comprises a first free end which is urged by a second spring member into activating the firing pin and a second free end which is engaged with the sensor mass so as to oppose a rotational motion of the trigger arm under a biasing force of the second spring member; and a shoulder surface provided in the sensor mass for holding the trigger arm against the biasing force of the second spring member be being engaged with the trigger arm under a normal condition and releasing the trigger arm by being disengaged from the trigger arm when the sensor mass experiences acceleration greater than the threshold level. Since the frictional force involved in the engagement between the sensor mass and the trigger arm is drastically reduced, the state of the engagement can be controlled very precisely.

摘要: Test signals are recorded on a prescribed area in an optical disc. The prescribed area is scanned by a laser beam while the power of the laser beam is changed among different DC erasing values. The different DC erasing values are assigned to the recorded test signals, respectively. The recorded test signals are reproduced from the prescribed area to obtain reproduced signals. Parameter values of the respective reproduced signals are detected. The detected parameter values correspond to the different DC erasing values, respectively. Among the detected parameter values, a detected parameter value is decided which matches a target. One corresponding to the decided parameter value is selected from the different DC erasing values. A prescribed coefficient and the selected DC erasing value are multiplied to calculate an optimum level of an erasing power of the laser beam.

The light absorbing and heat generating layer 6 is a metal layer or an alloy layer containing more than one element out of Ge, Sn, Pb, Cr, Ti, In, Si, Cd, Se, W, Mo, Zr, Nb, Zn and Hf, so that a reflectivity of the optical recording medium 10 and an optical modulation factor, which is an optical modulation factor in a phase changing state of crystalline or amorphous, in the recording layer 4 can be always maintained in high. Accordingly, a recording sensitivity of the recording layer 4 in the optical recording medium 10 can be increased without deteriorating a characteristic such as reflectivity and jitter.
