摘要: A color-developing composite short fiber having a length of 0.01 to 100 mm is obtained by cutting a color-developing short fiber capable of reflecting visible rays and interfering with visible rays consisting of two or more kinds or polymer compounds having different refractive indices which are laminated alternately. A color-developing structure is formed by binding particles of the short fiber to one another, dispersing the short fiber in a mixture with other materials or adhering the short fiber on the surface of a support. Further, a color-developing composite short fiber having a length of 0.01 to 100 mm is obtained by cutting a color-developing composite fiber comprising two or more polymer compounds having different refractive indices which are laminated alternately forming a layer capable of reflecting visible rays and interfering therewith and a layer capable of reflecting invisible rays and interfering therewith.

摘要: A spring force of a thrust spring can be determined independently of a spring force of a locking spring, reducing an operating load of an unlocking operation. A locking device includes a locking mechanism provided on one of two members to be engaged with each other, and a striker provided on the other of the two members. The locking mechanism includes a base plate, a hook, a pawl, a cam, a locking spring, a thrust spring and a canceling plate. The base plate has a recess that is capable of receiving the striker. The hook, when rotated relative to the base plate, is capable of forming a locked condition in which the striker is held between the hook and the recess of the base plate or an unlocked condition in which the hook is spaced away from the striker. The pawl is capable of rotating relative to the base plate and maintaining the hook in the locked condition. The cam is capable of further pressing the hook in the locked condition toward a locking direction. The locking spring is capable of biasing the hook and the pawl such that the hook and the pawl are stabilized in the locked condition or the unlocked condition. The thrust spring is capable of biasing the cam in a direction to press the hook. The canceling plate is rotatably supported via a shaft of the hook and is coaxially rotatable with the hook. The canceling plate has a movable range in which the canceling plate can rotate relative to the hook and has a contacting portion that is capable of contacting the striker within the movable range when the hook is in the locked condition.

摘要: A reclining mechanism for a vehicle seat includes first and second attachment members coupled with each other at their outer peripheries and connected by a hinge pin, a slide pawl slidably mounted within one of the attachment members, and a cam element mounted on the hinge pin in a space between the attachment members. The cam element is engaged with the slide pawl to maintain engagement with the ratchet portion of the attachment member when the hinge pin is retained in a torsion spring load position. This construction permits relative rotation of the attachment members for adjustment of an inclined angle of a backrest. In the reclining mechanism, a thrust member is coupled with one of the attachment members and welded to a frame structure of the back rest allowing the device to be assembled as a unit.

摘要: This invention relates to a temperature control indicator unit comprising a substrate having supported thereon (a) microcapsules enclosing a hydrophobic organic compound possessing an arbitrarily selected melting point, (b) a methine dye and (c) an oxidizing material. More particularly, a unit made by combining an irreversibly color-developing methine dye and an oxidizing material with microcapsules enclosing a hydrophobic organic compound possessing a predetermined melting point and supporting them on a substrate is used for temperature control purposes. A suitable measure is taken, preferably at or below the desired control temperature, to break at least a part of the microcapsules of the unit and thereby produce fissures or the like in the microcapsule membrane. Then, the unit is stored or transported together with an article to be placed under temperature control. As a result, if the article is exposed to temperatures exceeding the desired control temperature, the non-volatile organic compound present in the broken microcapsules melts and diffuses out. This brings the methine dye into contact with the oxidizing material present in proximity thereto and causes an irreversible color development of the methine dye. Thus, the occurrence of abnormal temperature control conditions can be detected by observing such color development.
