摘要： A liquid crystal display device including a liquid crystal display panel having a first surface for displaying an image and a second surface different from the first surface, and a position information input device provided on a first-surface side of the liquid crystal display panel. The position information input device is made of a first substrate and a second substrate more easily deformable than the first substrate. A transparent insulation film is formed over a surface of the first substrate opposed to the second substrate, a first transparent electrode is provided on the transparent insulation film, and the transparent insulation film is located between the first substrate and the first transparent electrode.

摘要： A liquid crystal display device has a position information input device over an image-displaying surface of liquid crystal panel. The position information input device is formed by a first substrate and a second substrate more easily deformable than the first substrate. A transparent insulation film is provided over a surface of the first substrate opposed to the second substrate. By providing a first transparent electrode on the transparent insulation film, the flatness of the first transparent electrode is improved and a connection failure of the position information input device is prevented.

摘要： A liquid crystal display device is constructed such that a liquid crystal layer is sandwiched between an upper substrate, which is provided with upper transparent electrodes for forming pixels, and a lower substrate, which is provided with lower transparent electrodes disposed so as to intersect with the upper transparent electrodes. The liquid crystal panel includes a half reflection layer having a reflection function and a transmission function which is formed on the inner surface of the lower substrate as a lower layer of the lower transparent electrodes; an upper retardation film, an upper polarizing plate, and a light diffusing plate which are laminated on the upper substrate; and a lower retardation film and a lower polarizing plate, which are laminated on the surface of the lower substrate. Due to such a construction, the half reflection type liquid crystal display device is capable of providing an image display of high brightness and high contrast.

摘要： Discolsed is a liquid crystal display device having on one of the two substrates sections for mounting an electronic part thereon. The sections include solder-receiving sections where the terminals of the electronic part to be mounted are soldered to the substrate and wiring for connecting the solder-receving sections to the other sections of the substrate. The wiring includes short necks situated between the solder-receiving sections and the rest of the wiring and having a width which is less than that of the rest of the wiring and the diameter of the solder-receiving sections.
