摘要： A method for detection of susceptibility to nitrous oxide neurologic syndrome in a subject is disclosed. In one embodiment, the method comprises: (a) providing a sample from a subject, wherein said subject is a candidate for nitrous oxide anesthesia; and (b) detecting the presence or absence of folate, cobalamin, methionine and homocysteine pathway genetic polymorphisms in said sample, wherein the presence of a polymorphism indicates that the subject is susceptible to nitrous oxide neurologic syndrome.
