    摘要: A plate-fin-tube type heat exchanger is constructed with a multitude of plate fins juxtaposed one another and a plurality of heat transmitting tubes passing through said plate fins and being held thereby. A plurality of cut and raised pieces are formed to intersect orthogonally with the air flowing direction at both front and rear surfaces of said plate fins with a certain space interval among them in the air flowing direction and at a location between the adjacent heat transmitting tubes arranged in the longitudinal direction of said plate fins, and then the edge portion on both sides of each cut and raised piece is re-bent in the direction opposite to the lifting direction of said piece and in substantially parallel with the surface of said plate fin so that the cross-section of said cut and raised piece may assume a sloping form in the direction of the air flow and that fin base plate portion may be present between the adjacent cut and raised pieces in parallel with the air flow.

The optical transmitter includes superimposing a pilot signal on either one of bias voltages where the pilot signal has a frequency lower than a frequency of a bit rate of the data signal, and performing a feedback control in accordance with a result of monitoring.

    摘要: An optical DQPSK modulator comprises a pair of phase modulators. Each of the pair of the phase modulators is provided with first and second driving signals. The first and second driving signals are amplified by first and second amplifiers, respectively. An RZ intensity modulator generates an optical RZ-DQPSK signal from an optical DQPSK signal output from the optical DQPSK modulator. A photodetector generates a monitor signal from the optical RZ-DQPSK signal. A gain adjuster unit adjusts the gains of the first and second amplifiers so as to minimize the power of the monitor signal.

    摘要: The invention aims to provide a monitoring method that can measure an optical SNR in an ultra high speed optical transmission system with high accuracy, and an optical transmission system using the same. To this end, in the optical transmission system to which the monitoring method of the present invention is applied, the degree of polarization of an optical signal transmitted from an optical transmission apparatus to an optical receiving apparatus via an optical transmission path is measured by a DOP measuring device, and an optical SNR of the optical signal is determined by an optical SNR calculation circuit based on a measured value of the degree of polarization.

Thus, the delay time between the orthogonal polarization components in the polarization multiplexed light can be varied flexibly at a high speed with a simple configuration, and thus, it becomes possible to suppress transmission characteristics degradation of the polarization multiplexed light due to a change in system state.
