摘要： Quinolinone-alkanecarboxylic acids of the formula I ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are identical or different and denote hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a hydroxyl group, an alkoxy group with 1 to 4 carbon atoms, an amino group, a dialkylamino group, the alkyl radicals having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, or a nitro group,R.sup.4 and R.sup.5 are identical or different and denote a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, an alkoxy group with 1 to 4 carbon atoms, a hydroxyl group, an amino group or a dialkylamino group, the alkyl radicals having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, orR.sup.4 and R.sup.5 together denote a methylenedioxy group bonded to two adjacent ring carbon atoms, and A denotes an alkylene group with 1 to 5 carbon atoms,and esters thereof with alkanols with 1 to 5 carbon atoms, and salts thereof with inorganic and organic bases are new compounds. They display a hyperglycaemic action in warm-blooded animals. Processes for the preparation of the new compounds are given.

摘要： A yarn feeding funnel for a textile spinning machine having an upper shaft portion and a body portion. An axial yarn passage extends through the shaft portion and an outlet passage extends at an inclination downwardly and outwardly from the axial passage to an opening on the surface of the body portion. The body portion above the opening extends to a greater axial extent than the opening and may be an inverted frusto-conical shape or a torus shaped flange or a cylindrically shaped flange. Alternatively the opening may be in an annular recess in the body portion.

摘要： An improved ring spinning machine for making a filled bobbin of yarn, thread or the like comprises at least one ring rail which moves up and down near a plurality of spindles driven by a ring rail drive. A control for the ring rail drive in case of an unforeseen machine stoppage, is arrayed so as to cause the ring rail drive, when it would otherwise drive the ring rail in the upward direction on restart because the ring rail was moving up at the time of shut-off, to reverse so that the ring rail moves downward no later than the time of restart of the spindles, so that the ring rail moves downward after the unforeseen machine stoppage at the beginning of restart thus providing for a safer, more reliable spinning operation.

摘要： In a ring spinning or other textile machine with a multiplicity of thread-winding stations each including one or more variable-speed motors, a central controller supplies periodic or continuous timing signals to respective speed setters of all stations for a predetermined progressive speed change of the associated variable-speed motors.
