摘要: A reader includes: a transmission device that repeatedly transmits, at a cycle corresponding to the code length of a prescribed code string, an electromagnetic wave that is phase-adjusted with the prescribed code string; a reception device that receives the reflected wave from the object to be identified, cyclically overlaps a reception signal relating to the reflected wave at the cycle of the code length, and calculates the correlation value of the overlapped result and the prescribed code string; and a control device that controls the transmission device and varies the transmission frequency of the electromagnetic wave in a steplike manner to perform a frequency sweep within a prescribed frequency band, controls the reception device, causing the reception device to calculate the correlation value for each transmission frequency, and specifies the attributes of the object to be identified on the basis of the correlation value for each transmission frequency.

摘要: An object of the present invention is to provide an organic electroluminescent element containing an organic layer interposed between an anode and a cathode, the organic layer containing at least one light emitting layer, wherein the at least one light emitting layer contains a π-conjugated compound having an electron donor portion and an electron acceptor portion in the molecule; the π-conjugated compound has a direction vector from an atom having a HOMO orbital in the electron donor portion to an electron cloud of the HOMO orbital, and a direction vector from an atom having a LUMO orbital in the electron acceptor portion to an electron cloud of the LUMO orbital, and the two direction vectors form an angle θ in the range of 90 to 180 degrees; and the π-conjugated compound has a plurality of the electron donor portions or a plurality of the electron acceptor portions.

摘要: An organic electroluminescent device contains an anode, a cathode, and an organic layer containing at least one luminous layer. The organic layer is disposed between the anode and the cathode. At least one luminous layer contains a π-conjugated compound exhibiting no overlap between the electron density distributions of the HOMO and the LUMO in the molecule, such that electron transition between the HOMO and the LUMO occurs by a through-space interaction in the molecule. The π-conjugated compound has a π-conjugated aromatic ring at a moiety on which at least one of the HOMO and the LUMO is localized.
