Abstract:
An information processing system transmits and receives sound data through a switching equipment. The information processing system includes: a transmitting end image forming apparatus that has a facsimile function to transmit communication sounds through the switching equipment; a receiving end image forming apparatus that has a facsimile function to receive the communication sounds through the switching equipment; a controller that generates a sound recording start command to start a recording of the communication sounds, and transmits the sound recording start command to the receiving end image forming apparatus; and a sound recorder that starts the recording of the communication sounds in the receiving end image forming apparatus when the receiving end image forming apparatus receives the sound recording start command.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a facsimile communication device, including: a line voltmeter that measures a voltage of a line used for a facsimile communication; and a hardware processor that: detects a predetermined change in the voltage of the line, in the facsimile communication; and judges whether a facsimile device of an opposite side opens the line or not according to whether the predetermined change is detected.

Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes a processor including a CPU formed with a plurality of cores, the CPU performing processes, wherein a CPU core managing unit operates at least one predetermined core by a first control method involving relatively frequent process switching through task switching, and operates the other one or more cores than the at least one predetermined core by a second control method involving relatively less frequent process switching, and when a first process requiring communication with a device outside the processor and a second process not requiring communication with a device outside the processor are performed in parallel, the CPU core managing unit causes the at least one predetermined core to perform the first process, and causes the at least one predetermined core and the other one or more cores to perform the second process.
Abstract:
A portable terminal for controlling an apparatus includes: a display with a touchscreen; a vibrator that is configured to perform a vibration action of vibrating at least an operation surface of the touchscreen; and a hardware processor that determines whether or not the terminal is in a placed state of being placed on an object and causes the vibrator to perform the vibration action in response to a touch operation on the operation surface. When the terminal is in the placed state, the hardware processor causes the vibrator to perform the vibration action at first vibration intensity. When the terminal is not in the placed state, the hardware processor causes the vibrator to perform the vibration action at second vibration intensity that is lower than the first vibration intensity.
Abstract:
An information processing system, includes: a requesting side apparatus and a reproduction side apparatus in which a facsimile function is implemented to transmit and receive communication sounds through a switching equipment; a storage which stores recording data obtained by recording the communication sounds transmitted and received in the past; a controller which generates a reproduction instruction command to reproduce the recording data through the switching equipment, and transmits the reproduction instruction command to the reproduction side apparatus; a sound reproducer which reproduces, when the reproduction instruction command is received, the recording data processed by sectioning, with a soundless period, a FAX terminal identification signal included in the recording data for switching the operation mode of the switching equipment to a FAX mode, and transmits the recording data to the requesting side apparatus; and a sound recorder which records the processed recording data reproduced by the sound reproducer.
