Abstract: A catalyst for wastewater treatment is disclosed. The catalyst includes a porous carrier, iron oxide impregnated into the pores of the porous carrier, and platinum impregnated into the pores and mixed with the iron oxide in the pores. Also disclosed are a method for preparing the catalyst and a method for wastewater treatment using the catalyst.
